Adira/Adeira

I came across the names Adeira and [name_f]Adira[/name_f]. I’m kinda feeling it. What thoughts do you have on these names? Is there one you prefer over the other? Would you pronounce them the same or differently? Any other name suggestions for me? (Girl names are such a struggle for me.) Thanks!

I intuitively pronounced them like ah-day-rah (Adeira) and ah-dee-rah or ah-die-rah ([name_f]Adira[/name_f]), not sure which pronunciation you’re going for.
I like the looks of [name_f]Adira[/name_f] better.
Suggestions: [name_f]Adele[/name_f], [name_f]Adeline[/name_f], [name_f]Adelia[/name_f], [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f], [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f], [name_f]Diana[/name_f]

I love [name_f]Adira[/name_f] (I pronounce ah-deer-ah).

Fun fact: this name was recently given to a red panda at the Toronto Zoo. Surely one of the cutest animals you can share a name with :heart_eyes::wink:

I really like [name_f]Adira[/name_f]! It’s beautiful and elegant while still being simple. I’d say Adeira as ah-day-ruh, not the same. [name_f]Adira[/name_f] would be ah-deer-uh. I prefer [name_f]Adira[/name_f].

For me:
Adeira = ah-dair-uh
[name_f]Adira[/name_f] = ah-deer-uh

I don’t think I prefer one over the other; I’m pretty neutral on both.

Adela and [name_f]Aderyn[/name_f] come to mind.

I say uh-deer-uh which reminds me of [name_f]Madeira[/name_f] cake. So I’m not a big fan of the name

I instinctively pronounce them both “a-deer-uh” though I would probably be able to adapt to an alternate pronunciation quickly.
