It seems to me that the correct pronunciation of [name]Adlai[/name] is [name]AD[/name]-lay, however I am wondering how acceptable [name]AD[/name]-lye or or [name]AD[/name]-ley or even [name]AD[/name]-uh-lay/[name]AD[/name]-uh-ley are as alternate pronunciations.
I find [name]AD[/name]-lay hard to say, and prefer the sound of [name]AD[/name]-lye or [name]AD[/name]-ley I have never actually me an [name]Adlai[/name] in real life, so if I did I would probably accept however they/their parents pronounced their name without thinking it was incorrect. But maybe this is just me?
[name]Do[/name] you know any [name]Adlai[/name]'s? how is their name said? If you did encounter a baby [name]AD[/name]-uh-lay (or other alternate pronunciation) would your thoughts be “those parents don’t know how to say their child’s name right” or “oh, another way to pronounce [name]Adlai[/name]”? Which pronunciation sounds best to you?
