I’ve been gone for a while, but I’m back because I need help re-naming a dog. I have an “adoption appointment” with a dog named [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] on [name_f]Sunday[/name_f]. She is a 1 year old lab mix. I love the idea of [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] for a dog name, however, my goddaughter is named [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], and it’s just too close for me. I’m trying to find alternatives that are a smooth transition from [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]. My cats are named Agatha (Aggie) and Allister (Alley).
I’ve always loved [name_f]Luna[/name_f] for a dog, so I was thinking of Elluna to be shortened to [name_f]Luna[/name_f]. I was wondering if there are any other options you wonderful people could think of.

I think [name_f]Noor[/name_f]/[name_f]Nora[/name_f]/[name_u]Nori[/name_u] are close enough to keep her comfortable and maybe she could take to those quicker, but do not resemble your goddaughter’s name.
