Adora?

I think i might be falling in love with this one even though it seems a bit dated… or perhaps “Vintage” is a better word?
Thoughts or opinions? Maybe similar names that sound like [name]Adora[/name].
Could it be used as a first name. or is it a better middle name?
Would you use it?

The only place I’ve ever heard this name is on He-[name]Man[/name] (it’s his sister’s name), so I’m not sure it sounds dated or vintage to me since I don’t tie it to any generation in particular. I’m not sure I’d use it as a first name because of the He-[name]Man[/name] connection, but I love it as a middle name. The only names I can think of that sound similar are [name]Aurora[/name], [name]Eudora[/name] (this one I’d label as vintage), [name]Lorelei[/name], and I’ll throw [name]Aurelia[/name] in there because it’s one of my favorites. [name]Rory[/name] also sounds similar, and I think that’s acceptable on a girl, though I prefer it as a nickname on girls.

[name]Lorelei[/name] is really pretty and has the same sort of feel to it…
i think that [name]Rory[/name] was used as a nn for [name]Lorelei[/name] in the series [name]Gilmore[/name] Girls… which i [name]LOVE[/name]!

I think it’s alright — just so you don’t pair it with [name]Belle[/name] in the middle.

But on a more serious note, I think it works in either spot and I don’t think it would seem too out of place considering [name]Dora[/name] the [name]Explorer[/name]'s popularity.

ahahaha… [name]Adora[/name] [name]Belle[/name]!!
Omg… when you look at it written down it’s sooo pretty!
Then you say it out loud and die laughing! That’s fabulous!!

I like [name]Adora[/name] ([name]Ora[/name]) [name]Grey[/name], [name]Adora[/name] [name]Irene[/name], [name]Adora[/name] [name]Maris[/name], and [name]Adora[/name] [name]Naomi[/name].

[name]Adora[/name] [name]Belle[/name] Dearheart is a character in a [name]Terry[/name] Pratchett book

[name]Adora[/name]…nice sound, looks nice written out, but it’s a little much for me, especially with the ‘adore’ part. I prefer [name]Adair[/name] or [name]Adara[/name].

My favorite is the french form Adoré ([name]Rae[/name]). [name]Lovely[/name]!

I know an [name]Adora[/name]! She’s in her late 20s. It’s a pretty name.
