We are looking for names that are recognizable in English and [name_m]French[/name_m] (my husband is [name_m]French[/name_m] and we live in the US). For a boy we are down to:
[name_u]Adrien[/name_u] [name_m]David[/name_m]
[name_m]Simon[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m]
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m]
[name_m]David[/name_m] is a family name but we’re not 100% wedded to it as the middle name.
The spelling of [name_u]Adrien[/name_u] is unusual for English but will help a lot with [name_m]French[/name_m] family for pronunciation. [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] on the other hand is specifically the English version as my husband doesn’t like the [name_m]French[/name_m] one and thinks the [name_m]French[/name_m] would understand (though could lead to constant corrections if we ever live in [name_f]France[/name_f]).
Any thoughts on which of the above is preferable, and any similar names we may not have thought of? Thanks!
From those three I love [name_u]Adrien[/name_u] [name_m]David[/name_m] the most. I like how it’s strong, recognizable (think [name_u]Adrien[/name_u] [name_m]Brody[/name_m]) but not overly popular. And [name_u]Adrien[/name_u] goes well with [name_m]David[/name_m].
[name_m]Simon[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m] - i like [name_m]Simon[/name_m] but I’m not sure if I like it with [name_m]David[/name_m].
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m] - [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] is my least favorite due to its popularity.
Other suggestions:
[name_u]Dorian[/name_u]
[name_m]Edgar[/name_m]
[name_m]Fabian[/name_m]
[name_m]Julien[/name_m]
[name_m]Thierry[/name_m]
[name_m]Yanick[/name_m]
[name_u]Adrien[/name_u] [name_m]David[/name_m] is lovely! I like that or [name_u]Adrien[/name_u] [name_m]Oliver[/name_m].
I really like the sound of [name_u]Adrien[/name_u] [name_m]David[/name_m](although I like the [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] spelling for a boy).
[name_u]Love[/name_u], love, love [name_u]Adrien[/name_u]!
I vote for [name_m]Simon[/name_m]!
I like [name_u]Adrien[/name_u] the best
I love [name_u]Adrien[/name_u]!! (I actually really like this spelling too). Big vote for [name_u]Adrien[/name_u] here
