Adrienne v Adrianna

I love both [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Adrianna[/name_f], but have decided to only keep one on my list.

My style is very 1970s-1980s (with a little 90s) and I do fear that [name_f]Adrianna[/name_f] may seem too current compared to my shortlist/other favourites.

[name_f]Do[/name_f] you prefer [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] or [name_f]Adrianna[/name_f] (I pronounce [name_f]Adrianna[/name_f] as Ay-dree-anna, and prefer this pronunciation to the Ay-dree-ah-nah, so [name_f]Adriana[/name_f] is out)?

Which one fits my shortlist better (see below);
[name_u]Kelly[/name_u], [name_f]Heather[/name_f], [name_f]Chrissy[/name_f], [name_f]Kristy[/name_f], [name_f]Kristen[/name_f], [name_f]Mary[/name_f]/[name_f]Mary[/name_f]-[name_f]Nicole[/name_f], [name_u]Courtney[/name_u], [name_f]Natalie[/name_f], [name_u]Allison[/name_u], [name_u]Dana[/name_u], [name_u]Shannon[/name_u], [name_f]Erin[/name_f], [name_f]Katrina[/name_f], [name_u]Whitney[/name_u], [name_f]Desiree[/name_f], [name_u]Chelsea[/name_u], [name_u]Kelsey[/name_u], [name_f]Danica[/name_f], [name_f]Lizzie[/name_f], [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f], [name_f]Jessica[/name_f], [name_u]Lisa[/name_u], [name_u]Meredith[/name_u], [name_f]Christa[/name_f]?

[name_f]Do[/name_f] you have any MN suggestions for your preference? I prefer classic middles or soft, feminine choices (ie; [name_f]Annabel/name_f, [name_f]Arabella[/name_f], [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], etc.).

Thanks!
Thanks!

For some reason, the -[name_f]Anna[/name_f] pronunciation gives me more of a 90s vibe than the -[name_f]Ana[/name_f] does. Maybe because [name_f]Eliana[/name_f], [name_f]Ariana[/name_f], [name_f]Liliana[/name_f], etc are so current. So I don’t think [name_f]Adrianna[/name_f] would stand out among your favorites.

That being said, I much prefer [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f]. -[name_f]Anna[/name_f] names tend to sound nasally when I say them so I tend to dislike them. [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] is spunky and fun so it definitely gets my vote.

[name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] [name_f]Jessica[/name_f]
[name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f]
[name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]
[name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] [name_f]Laurel[/name_f]
[name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] [name_f]Bella[/name_f]
[name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] [name_f]Cassia[/name_f]
[name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] [name_f]Bluebell[/name_f]
[name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] [name_f]Sybil[/name_f]

I prefer [name_f]Adrianna[/name_f]! I like how it flows best

[name_f]Adrianna[/name_f] [name_f]Celeste[/name_f]
[name_f]Adrianna[/name_f] [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
[name_f]Adrianna[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Adrianna[/name_f] [name_f]Hope[/name_f]
[name_f]Adrianna[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]
[name_f]Adrianna[/name_f] [name_f]Mabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Adrianna[/name_f] [name_f]Bethany[/name_f]
[name_f]Adrianna[/name_f] [name_f]Laurel[/name_f]
[name_f]Adrianna[/name_f] [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]

I prefer [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f]! It gives me a bit of a [name_m]French[/name_m] retro vibe which fits with your aesthetic.
[name_f]Adrianna[/name_f] sounds quite modern to me. Names starting and ending in A seem to be pretty big right now. [name_f]Ava[/name_f], [name_f]Ariana[/name_f], [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], [name_f]Arabella[/name_f]…

I prefer [name_f]Adrianna[/name_f] because [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f], while beautiful, may be a tad dated and with the popularity of the male name [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] it just sounds like you’re saying the boys name. I once had two students in my class, literally listed next to each other on the attendance - a boy [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] and a girl [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f]! They didn’t like it too much. If you use [name_f]Adrianna[/name_f], you can always still call her [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] (like in the movie [name_m]Rocky[/name_m]) which is pretty adorable.
My daughter’s name is actually [name_f]Adriana[/name_f] [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] but we also pronounce it like Ay-dree-[name_f]Anna[/name_f]. I realized after the fact that where i live ([name_f]Canada[/name_f]) people just [name_f]DO[/name_f] NOT use the ah-na sound. Very rarely. If I’m honest it’s even not natural for me although I do think it’s so pretty. Given that everyone says [name_f]Anna[/name_f], I just decided to forgo any confusion and go with that. Many baby books do say it’s either ah-dree-ahna or ay-dree-a-na so I guess it’s fine. I realized that in my research I was probably looking at a lot of American sites and I find they tend to say it differently. Regardless of spelling, where I live any -[name_f]Ana[/name_f] name is [name_f]Anna[/name_f]. But I digress. I think they’re both beautiful names!

I love [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f]. It is def late 70’s early 80’s

Both are great name but because [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] can be a boys name as well, despite the spelling being different they sound the same.

My vote would be for [name_f]Adrianna[/name_f]. It is super cute and feminine. I’ve only meet a couple [name_f]Adrianna[/name_f]'s but both were pretty, outspoken and a little sassy (but in a good way).
