adult Zoe

Met an adult [name_f]Zoe[/name_f], dhe had to be 40 or eV so. She was my nurse. Very cool.

I love the name [name_f]Zoe[/name_f]/[name_f]Zoey[/name_f] but my one hang up with it is if it seems too juvenile. I have a hard time picturing it on an adult but I think that’s because I don’t know anyone under 10 with the name. I’m sure once this generation of Zoes grow up out will be easier to picture on an adult. But I love this name! It’s sweet and spunky and packs a lot of punch in so few letters.

[name_f]Zoe[/name_f] may sound contemporary and a bit cutesy but it was the name of a Byzantine empress in the tenth century so it comes with a lot of history. It’s one of those rare ancient names that sound quite modern.

I like Zoe. It has a sweet sound, a lovely meaning (“life”) and a Byzantine pedigree which @mischa mentioned.

The name has been around since antiquity, so an adult Zoe is not that surprising after all.

I agree It’s one of the gems that fits the categories “meaningful”, “Historic” and “modern sounding”. It’s quite special if you think of it

I’ve known a few [name_f]Zoe[/name_f]'s over the years and I agree with the other posters that it is a historic name that still sounds modern, a bit of a timeless classic. A very pretty name.

there’s the Dr. [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] [name_m]Hart[/name_m], in the TV show “[name_m]Hart[/name_m] of [name_f]Dixie[/name_f]”, played by [name_f]Rachel[/name_f] Bilson. It works really well for the character and I think it’s the kind of name that grows along with the child. There’s also [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] Saldana and, as far as alternative spellings go, there are also [name_u]Zooey[/name_u] Deschanel and [name_f]Zoey[/name_f] Deutch. I think it’s a gorgeous name for all ages.
