Adventure Calls

Hey berries,
I’m collecting names that mean or evoke adventure. I’m wondering what names I’ve missed that hit this mark? I’m open to historical figures, word names, literary figures, or names that have “adventurous” meanings. Here’s a few from my list:

Davisellu, thanks so much! That’s a lot of explorers- I have to look up several who aren’t familiar to me. I love Odyssey, Hobbit, Sojourn, [name_m]Navigator[/name_m], and Voyage. You helped me think of Discover or maybe [name_u]Discovery[/name_u], Explore, and Intrepid as space names!

I love [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]/[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] which mean ‘traveler’, or alternately ‘she who brings happiness’ - who can argue with that??

Also [name_f]Saga[/name_f], which is a legitimate name in Scandinavian countries but makes me think of a long journey, and [name_m]Homer[/name_m] wrote ‘The Odyssey’ so it reminds me of travel as well. [name_m]Ulysses[/name_m], for some reason, probably because I think of it as a ‘usable’ version of [name_m]Odysseus[/name_m]. [name_m]Bartholomew[/name_m], because it was the name of a lot of pirates and they’re obviously pretty adventurous folk!

And then there’s Adventure and [name_f]Journey[/name_f]… I know a little girl named [name_f]Journey[/name_f] (FN) and another little girl with the MN Adventure. Similarly I think direction names (like [name_u]North[/name_u] and [name_u]West[/name_u], but not together!) and place names invoke a sense of adventure. There was also a user on here at one point who had a son named [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] [name_u]Sage[/name_u] Adventure, which makes me think of ships/the sea and (obviously) adventures!

Greyer, [name_f]Saga[/name_f], [name_f]Journey[/name_f], and [name_m]Bartholomew[/name_m] are very nice adventuring names. Thinking of directions, could Compass work? Hmmm… better than Sextant. [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] makes me think of Narnian adventures for sure, but also the sea. Thanks for your thoughts!!

I automatically thought of [name_u]Scout[/name_u]!
Some others that for some reason make me think of adventure:
[name_u]Aspen[/name_u]
[name_m]Arrow[/name_m]
[name_m]Archer[/name_m]
[name_u]Everest[/name_u]
[name_u]Finch[/name_u]
[name_m]Caspian[/name_m]
[name_u]Hudson[/name_u]
[name_f]Canary[/name_f]
[name_u]Wren[/name_u]
[name_u]Harley[/name_u]
[name_f]Sparrow[/name_f]
[name_f]Solstice[/name_f]
[name_f]Indie[/name_f]
[name_u]Indigo[/name_u]
