Advice for new twins.

So, I gave birth yesterday, and me and my husband are so distressed that we haven’t picked a name yet. We both come from a family of normal names and are craving new uncommon names for our children.

I am craving [name_m]French[/name_m] names, and maybe some homey English names. He is wanting unusual [name_m]German[/name_m] and Russian names, and we just can’t agree.

Our twins, a girl and a boy, are fraternal, and are our first. They are actually our anniversary gift from God. I’d really love some advice!

Thank you so much!

[name_f]Sarah[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] Dubois [name_m]Hermann[/name_m]

What you be able to give us a few names you’ve spoken about??

Would love to know which names you’re considering!
Congratulations on your twins!

Yes of course! Thank you, we’re blessed!

For our little girl, I was considering [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f], which is one of my favorites, [name_f]Adeline[/name_f], [name_f]Lilly[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Alanna[/name_f] or [name_f]Belle[/name_f].

He wants things like [name_f]Sarka[/name_f], [name_f]Raya[/name_f], [name_u]Ara[/name_u], and [name_f]Ivanna[/name_f].

For the boy, I’d like a normal name like [name_m]Peter[/name_m], or maybe a not too unusual name like [name_m]Victor[/name_m] or [name_u]Antoine[/name_u]. As I said I really like [name_m]French[/name_m] and English names.

Mu husband wants [name_m]Heinrich[/name_m], [name_m]Adolph[/name_m], [name_m]Rudolf[/name_m], and such.

Thank you in advance for your help.

I think [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] is beautiful. Would spelling it [name_f]Adelheid[/name_f] or calling her [name_f]Heidi[/name_f] make it more appealing?

I am trying for names that feel broadly international:

[name_m]Vincent[/name_m]

Maybe for the boys you could choose something that suits your husband’s desire for a [name_m]German[/name_m] name, but has a more “normal” nickname so that it suits you too! (i.e. [name_m]Christoph[/name_m] nn [name_u]Chris[/name_u])

There are some great choices given here.

I particularly like [name_f]Senara[/name_f] (a fav of mine) and adore [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f].

I also liked the suggestion of [name_m]Sylvain[/name_m] for you.

Congratulations and good luck choosing.

You gave birth and went to post in the [name_u]Baby[/name_u] Name Games forum right away? I’m sorry but I’m finding it hard to believe.
