I would love some thoughts on a name that we are thinkng of. We are set on the first name of [name]Dagny[/name], and wanted to use the name of the baby’s g-mom as a middle name, [name]Dooley[/name], BUT, my only fear, is that it’s just too much given that our last name also starts with a “D” (let’s use Denning, as an example.) So…
[name]Dagny[/name] [name]Dooley[/name] Denning? Too much? I love it… but need some reassurance. Or not. Thanks!
It sounds to rhymey for my tastes, but if you really love it, I don’t think you should let that stop you. [name]Dagny[/name] Denning by itself sounds alright. It’s [name]Dagny[/name] [name]Dooley[/name] that throws me into a tongue twister.
[name]Dagny[/name] Denning works just fine for me, but the repetition of D-ee in [name]Dagny[/name] and [name]Dooley[/name] feels too bumpy. Have you considered two middle names to even things out a bit? [name]Dagny[/name] XX [name]Dooley[/name] Denning, perhaps? Or honor grandmother by using another form of her name?
I second this. I like the idea behind the names, but I would add another middle name to get it to flow a little easier. Having said that, I do think that since you love this name, that should be all that matters regardless of what any of us think about it.
[name]Dagny[/name] Denning is pretty; all three together is a bit Dr. Seuss for me. Adding a second middle between [name]Dagny[/name] and [name]Dooley[/name] helps a bit, but I would still probably pick a different middle. Maybe there’s another way to honor Grandma?
Alliterative names are very specially sounded and these are used in a lot of movies and acts as well. These are the names in which the first and last name sound in a similar manner. These are very special names and are very good to sound as well. So these names should be used more often and these looks attractive as well.
You could do 4 names to break it up a bit, IE: [name]Dagny[/name] [name]Blair[/name] [name]Dooley[/name] Denning, And don’t forget - people don’t go by their full names when they grow up, [name]Dagny[/name] Denning is NMS but sounds fine.
I have to agree with every one else. While [name]Dagny[/name] Denning sounds just fine together all three is a mouth full. I love the meaning of [name]Dagny[/name] btw.
