Advice on first name-last name transition

I am 4 wks from due date and we opted to not find out the sex but still can’t decide on a boy name.
My favorite boy name is [name]Chase[/name] but our last name starts with the Schn- sound. Should this eliminate the name due to the transition of ‘s’ sounds?
Others we like (less so) are [name]Beckett[/name], [name]Blake[/name], [name]Landon[/name].
Thoughts?

There are quite a few names that I love which simply will not flow well with my last name, no matter how much I wish they did. If the first and last name don’t sound good together or are too difficult to clearly say together, then let the name go, even if you absolutely love it. OR find a nickname that works better for introductions/everyday existence.

That’s what I was thinking too. My husband doesn’t seem to think its a problem since his name is [name]Thomas[/name]. But as you suggested at the end, he is always called [name]Tom[/name] so he uses [name]Tom[/name] for introductions.

I love [name]Landon[/name] and am guessing it would sound better with your last name. Any mn ideas yet?

For the middle name, we’re simply going to go with [name]Thomas[/name].

Any suggestions for boy’s names with [name]Thomas[/name] as a middle name?

[name]Hunter[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Ashton[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Asher[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Felix[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Joseph[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Guy[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Peter[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Joel[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Matti[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]

_____ [name]Thomas[/name] Schn:

If your last name has two syllables, I think a longer first name sounds great, because it prevents every name from having two syllables:

[name]Anderson[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Benjamin[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Finnian[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] (nn [name]Finn[/name])
[name]Gabriel[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Finnegan[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Harrison[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Julian[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Jameson[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Maxfield[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Montgomery[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Nathaniel[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Samuel[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Sullivan[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] (nn [name]Sully[/name] or [name]Van[/name])
[name]William[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Xavier[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]

I think these sound great with a shorter last name, too, such as [name]Brown[/name].

If your last name is longer than two syllables:

[name]Blake[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Calvin[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Declan[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Hudson[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] (not the best flow…)
[name]Jude[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Luke[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Quinlan[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Reed[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]

I love [name]Beckett[/name], but because it ends in a T and [name]Thomas[/name] begins with one, the Ts cancel each other out.

Good luck!
