Hello, so I am going to be a first time mom and Im super excited however my fiance and I are going through several names and I am quickly finding out that after 6 months of looking to me none are “good enough” my Fiance is wanting to name our little boy [name_u]Ashton[/name_u] [name_u]Carter[/name_u] Craff and Im up in the air. Honest opinions please and thank you!
What makes you say they’re not good enough? Are you looking for something based on sound alone, or would you like to focus more on meaning and/or honouring relatives etc? I think its important to know what you’re looking for in a name, otherwise its just a sea of endless options.
[name_u]Ashton[/name_u] [name_u]Carter[/name_u] Craff has nice flow and balance in my opinion, though it’s not my personal style
(I think it sounds particularly American, and I’m an Aussie with [name_u]Brit[/name_u] and Dutch descent so my style is somewhat different).
Congratulations on becoming a Mum/Mom!
Not good enough was simply the best way to describe me being a too picky overparanoid person which is why i appreciate the feedback. Guess im just nervous nelly! Thank you for sharing with me!
There’s nothing wrong with being picky and wanting the best for your child!
[name_u]Ashton[/name_u] [name_u]Carter[/name_u] is a handsome name with good flow. However, if you feel like maybe there’s something else, something ‘better’ out there you and your fiancé still have time to explore other options.
Nice, but I’d opt for Ariston, an ancient Greek name that’s not so common. Or Ashford, also to avoid having to share a classroom w/other kids of the same name.
I really like [name_u]Ashton[/name_u] [name_u]Carter[/name_u]. But if you don’t like it at all, you and your fiancé will have to compromise somewhere (MN or FN or the whole combo).
