We have narrowed down to two names for our soon to be arriving baby girl. Big Brother is [name]Isaac[/name] [name]Alexander[/name], and we have a somewhat long last name…what should baby sister be called?
[b] - [name]Naomi[/name] [name]Faith[/name]
[name]Molly[/name] [name]Josephine[/name][/b]
First Names
We love [name]Naomi[/name] and its meanings (beautiful, delightful, truth), and think of it as a unique biblical name - don’t know anyone with this name. It doesn’t seem to pop up on any popularity lists which is a good thing for us. The hesitation is that someone recently mentioned it is making a “comeback” and we don’t want to have the top name of 2013!!! [name]Molly[/name] is meaningful to us as it means “wished for child”, although there are some less desirable meanings out there. We think of it as cute, and somewhat common but not a super trendy/popular name.
Middle Names
[name]Faith[/name] is just a name we like for its meaning, and [name]Josephine[/name] is a family name on both sides. Any other ideas for middle names?

I honestly don’t think you got a “comeback” name in [name]Naomi[/name]! Although it’s a name I see a lot of people mention I have rarely seen it in use! [name]Naomi[/name] is a beautiful name and I like it a lot better than [name]Molly[/name]. I wouldn’t trade off my favourite name because of popularity fears.
Have you checked where [name]Naomi[/name] ranks in your national name list? Is it even on there? If it isn’t or is out of the top 50 I wouldn’t worry about it shooting to the top 20s.
I highly doubt [name]Naomi[/name] is going to be one of the “Name stars” of 2013 =)
I absolutely love [name]Naomi[/name] (actually Noemí, but it’s the same name) for the same reasons you do- the meaning. I think more people will like [name]Molly[/name] [name]Josephine[/name], as [name]Josephine[/name] is a huge NB favorite. I don’t think [name]Naomi[/name] is going to make any huge jumps in popularity. It doesn’t fit with the same style as the top names. It’s a great choice if you want a recognizable choice that is not mega-popular.
It’s so funny because [name]Isaac[/name] is one of my top choices for a boy. [name]Naomi[/name] and [name]Isaac[/name] would make a very handsome sibset.
I really like [name]Mimi[/name] and [name]Noa[/name] as nn options.
Wow, [name]Naomi[/name] and [name]Isaac[/name] together – just perfect! [name]Naomi[/name] is a lovely name and I never realized it had such nice meanings! I don’t picture it gaining drastically in popularity, so I would go for it!
[name]Molly[/name] is a sweet name, but I don’t think it works as well as [name]Naomi[/name].
If you are looking for other middle name ideas:
[name]Naomi[/name] [name]Lark[/name] (I like the meaning/connotation of this)
[name]Naomi[/name] [name]Sage[/name]
[name]Naomi[/name] [name]Josette[/name] (Still honors [name]Josephine[/name], but flows better and I think you’ll like the meaning )
[name]Naomi[/name] [name]Elsa[/name] (nice meaning)
I love [name]Naomi[/name] and while it’s a sweet, beautiful name, I seriously doubt that it’ll be super popular. I really like [name]Naomi[/name] [name]Faith[/name], nn Nao or [name]Mimi[/name] or [name]Mia[/name]. Or Nami.
I prefer the combo [name]Molly[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] over [name]Naomi[/name] [name]Faith[/name], but I like [name]Naomi[/name] as a fn more. If you could switch the middles to be [name]Naomi[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]–that would be the best choice, imo.
I also like the suggestion of [name]Naomi[/name] [name]Josette[/name].
I like [name]Naomi[/name] [name]Faith[/name]! I think the nicknames [name]Nomi[/name] “noh-mee” and [name]Mimi[/name] are cute. I know two [name]Naomi[/name]'s and I’ve heard their friends call them [name]Nomi[/name]. {They don’t know each other}
I love the suggestion of [name]Naomi[/name] [name]Lark[/name] if you’re looking for other middle names!
