Advice with Maisie

Currently crushing on [name_f]Maisie[/name_f], but wondering what longer names you would use [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] as a nickname for.
As much as I love [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] something in me tells me I need a more formal name. My name is [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] , just [name_f]Maggie[/name_f]. My whole life people have called me [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] (assumptions!) or have been like “what’s it short for??”
[name_f]Maisie[/name_f] as a stand alone is still on the list but I wasn’t sure what the options for a longer name would be! Thanks for the help!

[name_f]Mairead[/name_f] or [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] is where it originated from I believe. My Grandma’s middle name was [name_f]Mae[/name_f] and she used [name_f]Mazie[/name_f] as her “fun name”.

[name_f]Marguerite[/name_f], [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f], [name_f]Magdalene[/name_f]/-a, [name_f]Mary[/name_f], [name_f]Melissa[/name_f], [name_f]Marissa[/name_f], [name_f]Maeve[/name_f], [name_f]May[/name_f], [name_f]Maelle[/name_f]…

If she will be called [name_f]Maisie[/name_f], I would name her [name_f]Maisie[/name_f].

I would use any number of Ma- names, many which have already been listed. It would be fun to name her [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], considering that’s what people always assumed your name was.

I do think [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] would be viewed differently than [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] since [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] has recently been used frequently as the formal name, enough that it’s made many popular lists. [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] is still in nickname territory.

Same as the first commenter said, [name_f]Mairead[/name_f] or [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] would be full names. However I’ve always seen [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] as its own name. It looks too long to be a nickname.
