Aëla

I recently discovered the name Aëla and I am starting to fall for it, the name also means ’ Angel ’ which honours my older sister who was named Angela. From my research, it can be pronouced like ay-ella or like the name Ayla which I honestly prefer. There is a negative association but I think the pronouncation eliminates it!

Any thoughts? Thank you :white_heart:

Aëla is so stunning! I think the meaning is such a sweet way to honor your sister.
However, for the [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] pronunciation, I do ask if you are saying it as ay-lah or eye-lah?

I prefer the pronunciation ay-lah for Ayla :))

I like (ay-ella) over (ay-la)

It is very pretty and I like the way it honours your sister! I do think you might get pronunciation issues though (ay-ella, ay-luh, ah-ell-uh, eye-luh). Still, possibly in an [name_f]English[/name_f] speaking country, Ay-luh may well be people’s guess!
