After having a talk about names with my other half I feel saddened in not using the spelling [name_f]Lucie[/name_f] instead of [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. My partner knows this and said we should use [name_f]Lucie[/name_f] and not [name_f]Lucy[/name_f].
So our future daughter is going to be called [name_f]Lucie[/name_f]-[name_f]Mae[/name_f] even though I know it’s against what you all have said. Sorry about that.
One name that has come up time and time again for her middle name is [name_u]Eloise[/name_u]. It’s a name that can honour multiple people in both of our families. We would love to use it but we are hesitant as then all her names would end in the letter E.
Her surname would be [name_f]Rose[/name_f].
So my question is does [name_f]Lucie[/name_f]-[name_f]Mae[/name_f] [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] look and sound ok to you?
[name_f]Lucie[/name_f]-[name_f]Mae[/name_f] [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is lovely and her names all ending in the letter E isn’t something I would concern myself with at all. In fact, I don’t think I would have noticed if you hadn’t mentioned it. We seldom write or say all our names together in real life and on a day-to-day basis and even if someone does mention it there is nor thing wrong with it. I think you’ve found the winner!
I think you’ve created a lovely combo As others have said, I wouldn’t have noticed all names ended in an E. I even had to double check if my own names ended in the same letters!
A hyphenated first name is not what I would consider my personal style, but when I see this name I think it is really lovely!
I think one of the best things about polling other people, including others on Nameberry, is that it helps solidify your own preferences. That you prefer the “ie” ending, even if other people are saying they don’t, means that’s the right one for you and your LO! I love the name [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] in the middle and definitely would have not noticed the multiple “e” endings if you had not pointed it out.
[name_f]Lucie[/name_f]-[name_f]Mae[/name_f] [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] sounds nice, especially if [name_f]Lucie[/name_f] feels like the right spelling to you
This name sounds like she will be a lovely character! Sometimes the best names break the so-called rules (ie don’t hyphenate, spell the usual way) because they feel just right for the child and the family. Go for it!
I think [name_f]Lucie[/name_f]-[name_f]Mae[/name_f] [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] sounds beautiful and is absolutely stunning! Since [name_f]Lucie[/name_f] is a more popular name I like that you’re using a unique spelling. To be honest I didn’t even notice that all of the her names end in e until you said something. So I really don’t think anyone will notice or say anything about it
