I also really really like [name_f]Una[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] [name_f]Anthea[/name_f] and I actually think I slightly prefer [name_f]Una[/name_f] to [name_f]Iolanthe[/name_f].

I love the little shot of classic at the end of an otherwise fabulously daring combo, it brings it back down to earth and flows really nicely. I also like [name_f]Iolanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] [name_f]Verity[/name_f] a lot if you want to go all out there. And [name_f]Una[/name_f] is a lovely sweet, strong backup to have (but [name_f]Iolanthe[/name_f] seems to really be where your heart lies).

I feel like [name_f]Iolanthe[/name_f] and [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] together are so fun and unexpected and flow wonderfully and [name_f]Jane[/name_f] grounds the name a bit and rounds up what is probably one of the most awesomely innovative name combinations ever. Your daughter will be beautifully named anyway. Also, [name_f]Ione[/name_f] or [name_f]Ionie[/name_f] as nickname for [name_f]Iolanthe[/name_f] is perfect!
Thank you for the comments, helps me think through the ideas! I was SO STUMPED on even making combos for months. I’m glad the cobwebs are finally clearing. [name_f]Iolanthe[/name_f] actually means “violets” so that has been a plus for it. Sidesteps the autocorrect-to-violent problem while keeping the birth flower, plus it’s a flower-name—while-not (since 2 of the other 3 girls have flower names, it seems nice to have a non-obvious floral reference).
@katinka Hmm, maybe you have to be a Ravelry member. It gets easier when you have bigger kids, vs being outnumbered be preschoolers only. Really.

[name_f]Iolanthe[/name_f] is pretty out there, [name_f]Jane[/name_f] a perennial classic and [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] kind of bridges the gap to me, being recognizable but not common. I picture a confident girl who’s no-nonsense, focused and ambitious at work but the life of the party with her friends, with always an interesting story or joke to tell.

All three names feel like they’d belong to someone creative and artistic. It’s elaborate in a good way. [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] is a great name to go with [name_f]Iolanthe[/name_f], it has the fairytale like vibe of [name_f]Iolanthe[/name_f] but its familiarity grounds the combo more. [name_f]Iolanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] would be really sweet and dainty, more princessy than many of your combos though which are more feisty glamour girl than princessy to me.
[name_f]Iolanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] [name_f]Irene[/name_f] feels more proper and restrained than IZJ, someone who’s also motivated to do well at everything but more introspective and thoughtful. She loves her friends and spending time with them, but needs her space to recharge sometimes. I wouldn’t worry about IZIT initials- I actually think they’re pretty cool, it sounds like you’re saying “is it?” which leaves so much room for imagination. Like the feeling you get from a movie trailer, what’s going to happen, is it x or y or z? The idea of someone creating an app for acne is quite amusing though.

It sounds beautiful but it almost feels like you’re trying to cover too much ground there, they all seem like such different styles. [name_f]Iolanthe[/name_f] feels dramatic and ancient, [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] makes me think 1920s because of [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] [name_m]Fitzgerald[/name_m], and [name_f]Verity[/name_f] prim and proper British aristocracy, which all together is a bit jarring.
[name_f]Iolanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Irene[/name_f]/[name_f]Iolanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Irene[/name_f] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] don’t flow too well to me. All the Rs in [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] and [name_f]Irene[/name_f] blend together a bit. I don’t like the repeating “ee” endings of [name_f]Iolanthe[/name_f] and [name_f]Irene[/name_f], and it throws me off both the beginning and ending letters are the same even though they’re pronounced differently. (This is just a personal bugbear of mine though, nothing objectively wrong with it!)
[name_f]Iolanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] is nice, they’re all pretty names and go well together, but it doesn’t have as much spark as your other combos to me.
