This is for my main character
A. is lonely and without a friend, and has a quiet difficult relationship with her mothe but loves old stories and mythology. She also happens to find her name not suitting her at all, - because she dislikes the meaning (pure / chaste) imposed on her, and she also has a quiet troublesome life. The story will include she and the meeting of the Greek goddess [name_f]Athena[/name_f], who will help her blossom and rename her [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f]. From then the story will happen.
[name_f]Agnes[/name_f] or [name_f]Ariadne[/name_f]? Could also be [name_f]Arianna[/name_f] or [name_f]Ariadna[/name_f].
I feel like [name_f]Ariadne[/name_f] is the more expected name here because it fits with the other Greek mythology names you’re using. Maybe [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] would be better if you want her to feel like a lonely outsider?

[name_f]Agnes[/name_f]! [name_f]Ariadne[/name_f] feels very ‘mythological’ already, whereas [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] feels more ‘lonely and troubled character who goes through a change’

i feel like ariadne is too cool, almost? i feel like because agnes sticks out a lot stylistically, and has a very classic, pretty, straight-laced vibe, it works better for this.

I feel the same as @rosepip. [name_f]Ariadne[/name_f] feels a bit too… I’m not sure, just unlikely? for her character.

I think [name_f]Ariadne[/name_f] works better and is a more captivating, interesting name for a character. It also sounds more classically ancient Greek.
