At first I thought it was pronounced ah-kane, and that made me think of ‘arcane’ or like, kane sugar which I didnt really like, but I do think with the proper pronunciation it’s quite nice.

Love the name it reminds me of an anime character from a series! I do think it’s a cultural name so I would never use it as that’s not my culture and in general people should shy away from [name_f]Asian[/name_f] names when not part of it (I live in [name_u]America[/name_u] so Japanese Americans often stress how white parents shouldn’t name their children after asian names when they face discrimination for it! I have to agree on that!)

I definitely read it as Arkane at first. I think it has a nice sound, though, now that I know how to pronounce. Given I’m not Japanese or [name_f]Asian[/name_f] American, though, I would not use it.
