Thoughts on [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] with our daughters and son? [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f], [name_f]Elowen[/name_f], [name_u]Barrett[/name_u], and [name_m]Alaric[/name_m]?
We’ve loved [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] for a long time, but I have two hang-ups: it doesn’t sound great with our surname (something we can both overlook) and we don’t love any obvious nn options (can probably get over that too, but I really love nn’s!) For a middle name I am loving [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] (after my hubby).
Any thoughts appreciated on how it sounds/fits with our sibset and any nn suggestions. Thanks!
Also, for reference we pronounce it [name_m]AL[/name_m]-uh-rick.
I think its a great name, and [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f], [name_f]Elowen[/name_f], [name_u]Barrett[/name_u] and [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] are perfect together imo.
As for nns how about: [name_m]Rick[/name_m], [name_m]Rico[/name_m], [name_m]Alan[/name_m], [name_m]Ace[/name_m], [name_u]Ari[/name_u]…
I really like [name_m]Alaric[/name_m]! It sounds like such a strong name and fits in well with your sibset. I like pp’s nn suggestions of [name_m]Ace[/name_m] and [name_u]Ari[/name_u].
I really like [name_m]Ace[/name_m], but we know one that we see often so we probably wouldn’t use it. [name_u]Ari[/name_u] is really nice too. I also thought of [name_u]Adi[/name_u], since his initials would be A.D. I know an [name_m]Adam[/name_m] that goes by [name_u]Adi[/name_u] and always thought it was sweet. [name_m]Alec[/name_m]/Alic is another one that came to mind. [name_m]Rico[/name_m] is fun too! Thanks for all the suggestions and thoughts so far!
I love the name [name_m]Alaric[/name_m]. [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] sounds really good with the rest of the sibset.
Nicknames could be:
[name_u]Ricky[/name_u], [name_u]Allie[/name_u], [name_m]Al[/name_m], [name_m]Rico[/name_m] & Lar
I love the name [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] - it is so handsome and strong. [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] is a wonderful combination and it works so well with the rest of your kids! Go for it!
