what do you think of [name_m]Alaric[/name_m]? What kind of person do you envision with the name? Any middle name ideas?
[name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_u]Flynn[/name_u] is the only combo I have so far, but I’m not sure.
I love [name_m]Alaric[/name_m], but I do think of a certain guilty pleasure TV show character when I hear it.

I love [name_m]Alaric[/name_m]! I’ve never seen the show, as I’m not into vampire-type stories, so I don’t know what the guy looks like, but I’ve heard the name in reference to the show. I just think it’s a kick-butt name, and I’d love to meet a little [name_m]Alaric[/name_m]! A while back, when I was still considering [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] as a FN, I had really loved [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] (and, le swoon, I still do. haha). I think [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] or [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_u]Cato[/name_u] would be incredibly cool, or even [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_m]Daniel[/name_m]. I really love [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_u]Flynn[/name_u], though!
I’m not sure what I imagine an [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] to be like, but definitely intelligent and adventurous and fun-loving. Dashing and charming as an adult, too, but with a very gentle and kind side, maybe.

I’m glad someone views an [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] as charming and gentile, I worried it had a cold vibe, but I think [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_u]Flynn[/name_u] kind of sounds like a Disney prince! [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] would be nice. I’ve not seen Vampire Diaries either, so I’m not sure that is a good or bad association.
I think it’s a good association. He’s one of the good guys on the show. He’s very smart, kind, brave, resourceful, funny, and extremely attractive. He has played the role of the father figure to the protagonists. I wouldn’t call this character gentle, but I wouldn’t call any of the main characters on that show gentle. Lol, it’s a vampire show.
At one point he turned evil, but I thought it was clear he was being manipulated. And things really change around so much with the show. He was also killed off, but more recently he has been brought back to life, which I feel speaks to how much the fans like the character.
I don’t think people would necessarily think an [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] was named after the character in TVD, but I would just say to make sure the name doesn’t rhyme with [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] Saltzman because then they might think that. Lol
Yes exactly, I absolutely love the name and it’s on my list to potentially use in the future. I don’t even care if people think I got it from the show because it’s such a fantastic name. And yes, the actor who portrays the character is so attractive! I definitely like that he’s back on. 
I don’t always like to admit I watch The Vampire Diaries because it’s definitely a guilty pleasure show I started watching in college, but I know I’m not the only one so that makes it okay. I’m always surprised at how many of women admit they watch it too when I say I do!

To me [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] sounds like a strong and courageous leader, and reminds me of forests , wolves and medieval/Arthurian legend battles, castles, knights, the usual. I love [name_m]Alaric[/name_m], and have [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_m]Tennyson[/name_m] [name_m]Wolf[/name_m] on my list. I just think [name_m]Wolf[/name_m] in particular, really compliments [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] in terms of strength and courage, plus [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_m]Wolf[/name_m] sounds good too. I like Alarc [name_u]Flynn[/name_u] though, and I also don’t have a clue about the Vampire Diaries association.

I even like it as the man who brought me up [stepfather] his dad [my grandad] and my mums dad[obv my grandad lol] are all called [name_m]Alan[/name_m] and I like the way it is kinda tribute but 3 ways and the ‘ric’ part is the start of my partners name [richard] so its a pretty awesome name to me… lol
even if it doesn’t derive from [name_m]Alan[/name_m] i am a super fan of [name_m]Alaric[/name_m]/ [name_m]Alarik[/name_m] [and on that note i have just noticed i didn’t put it back in my signature… the horror] But defo a name that has a lot of character [pardon the pun] x
I love [name_m]Alaric[/name_m]! It gives me the vibe of someone handsome, trustworthy, and casually cool. We actually had it on our list for a while but knowing that he would eventually be called “[name_m]Al[/name_m]” or “[name_m]Rick[/name_m]” caused me to take it off as I can’t stand those names. [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] in TVD is a great character association but not one I think is strong if you’re not into the show.
I also only know it from the Vampire Diaries, but I love it! Like others have said, I don’t think it’s a bad association at all. [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] sounds smart and strong to me, in the best way.
