Alex-Sandra

I was just looking at one of those baby voting websites which give money to the ‘cutest baby’. One of my sisters friends enters her son [name_u]Alex[/name_u] into them so I was just voting for him. While I was typing [name_u]Alex[/name_u] into the search bar I noticed that there was another child called [name_u]Alex[/name_u] or with [name_u]Alex[/name_u] in their name. I clicked on the child’s picture and it said her name is [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_u]Alex[/name_u]-[name_f]Sandra[/name_f] then her last name. I thought it was pretty cringe worthy, what wrong with just [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f]? What to do guys think about it?

I think that’s pretty weird. Like naming your kid [name_m]John[/name_m] [name_m]Will[/name_m]-[name_m]Liam[/name_m] or [name_f]Jane[/name_f] Izza-[name_f]Bella[/name_f] .

Yeah that’s what I was thinking, I don’t get the point of it.

[name_f]My[/name_f] only thought is maybe they wanted to honor both an [name_u]Alex[/name_u] and a [name_f]Sandra[/name_f]? Personally, I think [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] would serve the same purpose, but i find some people feel they need to be very literal when honoring people.

That was another though of mine, I suppose so.

I do love hyphen names, but not ones that sound like a unique way to spell a different name ([name_u]Alex[/name_u]-[name_f]Sandra[/name_f], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]-[name_f]Beth[/name_f], [name_f]Lily[/name_f]-[name_f]Anne[/name_f] is an exception).

Or [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]-[name_f]Beth[/name_f],
