12 weeks till he/she arrives! We are still unsure, what do you think of [name]Alexander[/name] for a sibling for [name]Abigail[/name] and [name]Isabel[/name]?
Two middle names are family names - so would be [name]Alexander[/name] [name]William[/name] [name]Vernon[/name].
[name]Al[/name] or [name]Alex[/name] for short?
Is it ok to use an “A” name when I have one A already? Thanks for your advice!
[name]Alexander[/name] is a great name - quite popular but a classic. Please don’t call him [name]Al[/name]! There is an [name]Alex[/name] and and [name]Abbey[/name] in my daughter’s preschool and I think it sounds fine.
As a rule, I prefer siblings to have different initials but rules are made to be broken  . I think [name]Alexander[/name] is a name worthy enough to break the rule. [name]Alexander[/name] is strong and masculine, has a long history and is quite timeless. I also like [name]Abigail[/name], [name]Isabel[/name] and [name]Alexander[/name] together. But please don’t call him [name]Al[/name] - what about [name]Alec[/name] and [name]Zander[/name]? Best wishes, [name]Mischa[/name].
[name]Alexander[/name] is a great name, it’s my nephew’s name! I really like it with your daughters’ names, too.
Hello, thank you all for your great feedback! Although it is popular, it just feels right. And I really like [name]Alex[/name] or [name]Alec[/name] ([name]Alec[/name] is not one I’ve heard used, so it’s probably my favourite!) 11 weeks to go! Very excited to meet baby!
I prefer siblings with different initials but it’s not really a big issue. [name]Love[/name] [name]Alexander[/name], it’s a classic with plenty of nicknames…[name]Alec[/name] and [name]Xander[/name] being my favourites.
