I’d love to name a daughter after my mother, [name_f]Sandra[/name_f]. Of all the obvious options, [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] is far any away my favorite. Plus, I have long had [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] “[name_u]Jo[/name_u]” and [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] “[name_u]Corrie[/name_u]” on my list. [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] “[name_f]Andi[/name_f]” would fit in nicely.
The name has never broken into the top 25, but it has taken a steep dive between its peak in 1995 (#26) and 2019. (#130). Does this make it feel dated?
What are your overall thoughts on meeting a little [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] called [name_f]Andi[/name_f]?

I love the name [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] and I know at least two, so I don’t think it’s that dated. The nn [name_f]Andi[/name_f] is also so cute! I say go for it!

Love [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f]! And she’s perfect with [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] and [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f], it’s true. I’m not as huge of a fan of [name_f]Andi[/name_f](e) as a nn, but I suppose that’s just up to personal taste. I’m much more of an Alexie/Xanthe (as a stretch lol)/Annie person.
Good luck!

I don’t think that most Alexandras go by their full name so it doesn’t seem dated to me. [name_f]Andi[/name_f] is such a cute nn!

I heard more [name_f]Xandra[/name_f] than [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] these past few years, I don’t think it’s dated given how among my country [name_f]Alejandra[/name_f] is a timeless name so I always assumed the same for [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f], I think it can stand with [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]!

I prefer [name_f]Andie[/name_f] over [name_f]Andi[/name_f], but [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] is definitely usable

One of my best friends is an [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] (goes by [name_u]Ali[/name_u]). I love the name, don’t think it is dated at all, and the nn [name_f]Andi[/name_f] gives a fresh perspective! I love it!
