Hello!
I was wondering if any of you lovely people had an idea for me. I am looking for a full name for [name]Alfie[/name] other than [name]Alfred[/name]. I know it’s a tough one.
But… [name]Alfred[/name] rocks!!!
[name]Alf[/name]
Alfarr
Alfeo
[name]Alfons[/name]/[name]Alfonso[/name]
Alfwin
[name]Ralph[/name]
…all I can think of right now!
[name]Alfonso[/name] is really the only other name I can think of. I personally prefer [name]Alfred[/name] though.
[name]Raphael[/name] perhaps. I like [name]Alfred[/name], though. It’s got that chick-nerdy feel to me!
And I really like the nn [name]Alfie[/name]!!
[name]Alfred[/name] is a great name! [name]Alfie[/name] on its own could also work, there’s plenty of them around nowadays.
[name]Alfonso[/name] is interesting too, I kinda like the sound of it!
What about [name]Alfredo[/name]?
Anyone else?
I would just go with [name]Alfie[/name] on its own. I don’t care for any of these longer forms. It reminds me of names like [name]Archie[/name] that stand alone also.
[name]Ralph[/name] and [name]Raphael[/name] are clever ideas. I also like the idea of [name]Alf[/name] on the birth certificate instead of [name]Alfie[/name]. I suppose here in [name]America[/name] [name]Alfie[/name] is perceived as being less stand-alone than it is in [name]Britain[/name]; it seems better suited to a little boy who can, if he prefers, grow into the more “adult” full version. I know men with the given names [name]Jimmie[/name], [name]Tommie[/name] and [name]Freddie[/name], and it makes me kinda wonder if their parents couldn’t visualize them grown past kindergarten!
Best wishes!
