Alice Evelyn or Alice Marguerite?

We have tonight and the morning to break our indecision. Our little girl will be [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] or [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u].

Please help! Which do you prefer?

Both are fabulous and I don’t think you can go wrong. I lean slightly toward [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] because it is less expected but still recognizable and timeless. It adds gravitas to the gentler [name_f]Alice[/name_f].

I prefer the flow of [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], but either will be a lovely choice!

I agree, both are lovely! Im slightly bias as my middle name is [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], but I prefer [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] over [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]. My reasoning is that [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] is becoming very popular, and I like that [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] is more unexpected… But [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] also feels more vintage to me, which I love for girl names.

[name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] is just so lovely.

I prefer [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f].

[name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] is just gorgeous!

I really like [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] doesn’t flow very well to my ear.

[name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] flows better, but [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] is more unexpected. IDK if there’s especial significance behind either choice, but I think I’d pick [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] based on sound.

Thanks everyone! We have not decided but are really liking both. I’m excited to see that [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] is getting some love. Lots of food for thought over breakfast!

I sometimes call my mother [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] , it’s not her name but she loves it…
So i vote for [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f]… [name_f]Alice[/name_f] is one of my favorite girl names. Beautiful combo.

Adorable names, both of them! I think I prefer the flow of [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f], and I like how it’s a more uncommon yet wonderful name.

Funny how people’s ears hear the flow so differently. I really like both names but think [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] flows a lot better. I also like the two “L” sounds.

Both middles are lovely, but I prefer the unexpected [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f].
For me, [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] also flows better ([name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] runs together a little if I say it fast, sort of like ‘[name_f]Ally[/name_f] Sevelyn’). But that’s just when I say it. Besides, one man’s ‘running together’ is another’s ‘smooth and mellifluous.’ Both are great options.

Both are lovely, but I slightly prefer [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f].

[name_u]Love[/name_u] Margaurite as the middle !

[name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] gets my vote, very elegant. It also flows slightly better than [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] in my opinion, although both are lovely!

I like [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] better.
