[name_f]Alice[/name_f]! Because it’s on my list, so I’m biased. [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is great too though I think of [name_f]Alice[/name_f] in Wonderland, and [name_f]Jane[/name_f] from [name_m]Tarzan[/name_m].
I slightly prefer [name_f]Jane[/name_f], mostly because she doesn’t sound like many other popular names. [name_f]Alice[/name_f] is similar in sound to [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f], [name_u]Ellis[/name_u], [name_f]Alicia[/name_f], [name_u]Allison[/name_u], [name_u]Alexis[/name_u], [name_u]Ashley[/name_u] and there are a lot of [name_m]Al[/name_m]- or [name_f]El[/name_f]- beginning names on people’s lists, so she doesn’t stand out as much as [name_f]Jane[/name_f]. [name_f]Alice[/name_f] is also in the top 100, but [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is not.
But it really depends on the surname or middle. I would prefer information about either before making a choice, ideally.
I agree with dearest. I like both names a lot, but I slightly prefer [name_f]Jane[/name_f] just because it’s a little more distinctive.
Sorry, I am biased since my middle name is [name_f]Alice[/name_f]. I’ve never met an [name_f]Alice[/name_f], but I have met so so so many horls and women called [name_f]Jane[/name_f] and I’m sure you will all forgive me for being blunt but allowing me my own opinion: [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is boring. As a first name and a middle. [name_f]Every[/name_f] second persons middle name is [name_f]Jane[/name_f], there’s no flair at all, its sply…boring. As is [name_f]Marie[/name_f], another fall-back middle name.
Mum gave me [name_f]Alice[/name_f] as a middle with permission from the woman in her ward whose daughter was born the same day i was but passed away due to complications it was a dedication to their friendship and not a popularity thing. Choose a name that means something to you, not because its popular or even boring. If you love [name_f]Jane[/name_f], then use [name_f]Jane[/name_f].
Like I said I’m biased when it comes to [name_f]Alice[/name_f], but Its your opinion that counts in the long run xx
This is hard since both are favs for me. [name_f]Alice[/name_f] is incredibly sweet. [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is classily elegant. [name_f]Alice[/name_f] has just the slightest edge for me.
I have grown to love [name_f]Alice[/name_f] but I adore [name_f]Jane[/name_f] and [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is also an honor name, so I vote for [name_f]Jane[/name_f].

I find [name_f]Alice[/name_f] classy with a little bit of sass. [name_f]Jane[/name_f] will never escape “plain [name_f]Jane[/name_f]” for me.
I think both names are lovely and elegant. You can always use them both, [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] or [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f].
I like [name_f]Alice[/name_f] a lot, but I [name_f]ADORE[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]. [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is classy, sweet, and charming, works well on any age, and is less common than [name_f]Alice[/name_f], which seems to be a plus.
Both are beautiful names so you really can’t go wrong. I do love [name_f]Alice[/name_f] a bit more. [name_m]Just[/name_m] seems to have a bit more personality.
Both names are great, you can’t really go wrong with either. But personally, I slightly prefer [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
I love both [name_f]Alice[/name_f] and [name_f]Jane[/name_f], but I think [name_f]Jane[/name_f] wins for me. [name_f]Jane[/name_f], to me, is very elegant and classic - I imagine a very intelligent, spunky little girl - and I love the [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_u]Austen[/name_u] association. [name_f]Janie[/name_f] is the most adorable nickname too! [name_f]Alice[/name_f] is slightly girlier and sweet, but still classic and beautiful. I like that [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is less common than [name_f]Alice[/name_f], especially on a little girl today.
I think I prefer [name_f]Alice[/name_f], although both are lovely. [name_f]Alice[/name_f] sounds sweeter but I think jane would age better
