All About Eve

I’ve recently been thinking about [name_f]Eve[/name_f], having heard it a few times in various contexts. I really like it, my my concern is that it may be too brief. So, what do you think of [name_f]Eve[/name_f]? And, is it better as a stand alone or a nickname? If you would go for nickname, please suggest what names you think would work well as long forms of [name_f]Eve[/name_f].

I like [name_f]Eve[/name_f] but it doesn’t excite me when I hear it on someone. I don’t think it’s too short but I think I still prefer it as a nickname for [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f].

I love the name [name_f]Eve[/name_f].

I think it’s gorgeous. I do have a slight preference for it being a nickname (favourite FN for it is [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]), but wouldn’t bat an eyelid at it as a standalone.

Personally, I prefer [name_f]Eva[/name_f]. [name_f]Eve[/name_f] is a fine standalone name as well as a pretty nickname for [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] or [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u].

I love [name_f]Eve[/name_f] as a stand-alone name and as a nickname. [name_f]Eve[/name_f] has so much gravity on its own for three letters, it’s so beautiful. My favourite full names for [name_f]Eve[/name_f] would be [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] and [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] (pronounced the eev-lin way)

I love the name [name_f]Eve[/name_f]! I think it stands well on its own, and is especially pretty when paired with a longer mn. My favourite combos are [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] and [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Augusta[/name_f].

The original [name_f]Eve[/name_f] didn’t have a full name. I like [name_f]Eve[/name_f]. Then again, I think brevity is underrated in naming.

I love it on it’s own, as a nickname, and when pronounced differently. Either just as Ève, or as a nickname for Geneviève/[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]. I also have a soft spot for any and all ev- names: Eva, Ever, Evan, Everard, et cetera. It’s just a wonderful name all around : )

!With the [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] association ( [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] eve), I think that it could work as a nickname for a [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] themed name like [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] or [name_f]Natalia[/name_f]!
