What do you think of these names?
[name]Imogen[/name]
[name]Faye[/name]
[name]Esme[/name]
[name]Ines[/name]
Ok so update on these names. I like all of them but my DH has thought them over and only likes Imogen. Here is where I need your help. He says Imo-Gene. So should I spell it that way or are there other options out there? Thanks everyone!
[name]Imogen[/name] - This is growing on me, but I do think I’m starting to like the [name]Imogene[/name] spelling better.
[name]Faye[/name] - I see the appeal, but there’s just not enough name for me.
[name]Esme[/name] - Twilight! It’s alright, but I rather not want the Twilight association.
[name]Ines[/name] - I prefer [name]Inez[/name], and I think it’s a hidden gem. It’s strong, feminine, and I can see both a shy, bookish girl and a strong warrior woman named it.
I forgot about [name]Esme[/name] being in Twilight. Thanks! I don’t want that association either. Any other pretty names like [name]Esme[/name] come to mind?
[name]Imogen[/name]- Not a fan, I am not sure why. I have never met an [name]Imogen[/name], so I really don’t have a good or bad association. I guess its more neutral. [name]Don[/name]'t like it, but don’t dislike it.
[name]Faye[/name]- [name]LOVE[/name]. I am a sucker for 1 syllable names, and it is a beauty for me.
[name]Esme[/name]- [name]Love[/name] it also. I don’t think the twilight association is very strong at all. I wouldn’t even think of it unless someone mentioned. If you were naming a person, by the time they were in school it wouldn’t be a problem.
[name]Ines[/name]- [name]Love[/name] it. It reminds me of [name]Esme[/name], but a little less well known.
[name]Imogen[/name] -This is my favorite from this list.
[name]Faye[/name] -Never been a fan of this name.
[name]Esme[/name]- Reminds me of Twilight.
[name]Ines[/name]- I’m on the fence on this one. I’ve only ever known one [name]Ines[/name] but she spelled it [name]Inez[/name].
[name]Imogen[/name]- I’m a huge fan of this name, my other half hates it though so it’s off the books. It will probably never get too popular but it also will never stop being stylish and quirky-cool. I read a book once with a little girl named [name]Imogen[/name] that everyone called [name]Immy[/name], I thought it was so cute.
[name]Faye[/name]- The name of my cell phone… Wow, I’m weird. I’d love to meet someone with this name!
[name]Esme[/name]- Used to be one of my favorites, until I realized I had been pronouncing it wrong all along. Too bad, I really liked Ez-mee.
[name]Ines[/name]- Not a fan, probably will never be a fan. Reminds me of a crazy aunt.
I love [name]Imogen[/name], [name]Faye[/name], [name]Esme[/name], but not so much [name]Ines[/name]. If I was forced to choose one out of the other three I would probably go [name]Esme[/name] since I already had that on my list to consider for this baby. But I could see a little [name]Faye[/name] or [name]Imogen[/name] as well. So tough, love your tastes!
Hmmm, I usually really like vintage names, though yours aren’t on my top list of favorites. I like [name]Imogen[/name] and [name]Ines[/name], but [name]Esme[/name] and [name]Faye[/name] just don’t work for me as first names. [name]Faye[/name] would make a really cute middle though.
I have [name]Faye[/name] and [name]Esme[/name] on my personal list too(so I love 'em too) I also like [name]Ines[/name]/[name]Inez[/name] a whole lot. [name]Imogen[/name] is only I am not so keen on. Its really cut but totally a nameberry/namenerd thing. I have never met a person with any of these names but I think they are spunky and glamorous and cute. I say keep 'em on your list. They’re all great.
[name]Imogen[/name] - I can’t get into this name. I find it awkward. I think I would need to meet somebody named [name]Imogen[/name] for it to grow on me.
[name]Faye[/name] - I like [name]Faye[/name]. The fairy association is my cup of tea. It is a little too short for my liking as a first name though. It would make a great middle name.
[name]Esme[/name] - I really like Esmee. I think [name]Esme[/name] is the masculine version. I think Esmee is lovely, and I really would love to meet a little girl with that name.
[name]Ines[/name] - I always forget how to pronounce this name, then when I check, I am disappointed because I don’t like it.
Imogen - It’s not my favourite Shakespearean name but it’s still a good one.
Faye -I like the softness of the name but I prefer it in the middle spot.
Esme - I love its meaning of “esteemed” or “loved” in Old French. It was first recorded in Scotland, being borne by the first Duke of Lennox in the 16th century. Why would you let a film craze ruin a perfectly beautiful name? Esme is now considered more of a girls name with this spelling.
