Mostly (pretty much entirely) because of Jo March from Little Women - she’s smart, she’s sure, and she is honest in all ways! The name is beautiful, feminine but not too much, and ends in a unique sound. Its versatile, translatable in many languages, and timeless.

I met the cutest little girl with this name and loved it ever since. It surprised me at first and now I’m in love! I’d be down to name my daughter this and call her jo , jojo, & [name_u]Josie[/name_u]
