All Thoughts!

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone! I was just wondering what your thoughts are on these names. I want negative thoughts too please!

[name_u]Quinn[/name_u]-
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f]-
[name_u]Halle[/name_u]-
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f]-
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] called [name_f]Vivi[/name_f]-
[name_u]Piper[/name_u]-
[name_f]Lyla[/name_f]-
[name_f]Zella[/name_f]-

Thank you SO much!

[name_u]Quinn[/name_u]- I love [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], it feels very preppy, pretty girl with a bit of edge.

[name_f]Tessa[/name_f]- Sweet and romantic. It feels very modern but old at the same time. I much prefer it to it’s short form, [name_f]Tess[/name_f]. [name_f]Tessie[/name_f] is also a very cute nn.

[name_u]Halle[/name_u]- I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] the name [name_u]Halle[/name_u] but I’ve always liked it spelt [name_f]Hallie[/name_f] much better.

[name_f]Caroline[/name_f]- Very sophisticated, a little too high society for me though.

[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]- I used to loathe names like [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] because they reminded me of my grandparents and their peers but I too have jumped on the grandma chic nicknames.

[name_u]Piper[/name_u]- I really like [name_u]Piper[/name_u], unfortunately I feel like it’s become a little overused.

[name_f]Lyla[/name_f]- My favourite on your list. But I like [name_f]Lyla[/name_f] spelt [name_f]Lila[/name_f], though I guess it does help people pronounce it correctly.

[name_f]Zella[/name_f]- Not a big fan of, much prefer [name_f]Stella[/name_f] or [name_f]Willa[/name_f] or [name_f]Thea[/name_f]. It feels a bit video gamey to me.

I really like [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] and [name_u]Halle[/name_u] for similar reasons and I think they would make a perfect sister set. They’re all short and sweet, modern but not trendy. They’re also very casual yet substantial and all sound very warm and friendly. [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] are timeless classics that could never lose their charm. They’re solid, elegant names. These are my favorite off your list. [name_u]Piper[/name_u] and [name_f]Lyla[/name_f] are a little bit trendy but still perfectly OK. I’m not really a fan of [name_f]Zella[/name_f], I think I’d prefer something like [name_f]Selah[/name_f], [name_f]Stella[/name_f] or [name_f]Selma[/name_f].

[name_u]Quinn[/name_u]- Cute, a bit sassy
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f]- Soft, romantic, sweet
[name_u]Halle[/name_u]- Reminds me of [name_u]Halle[/name_u] [name_u]Berry[/name_u]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f]- Sounds very regal, like a princess, very classy and sophisticated
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] called [name_f]Vivi[/name_f]- Same as above
[name_u]Piper[/name_u]- Not over used, [name_u]Harper[/name_u] is overused. This gets a lot of mentions on Nameberry but in actual use not too much yet. So that said, I like this although it is trendier than your other picks.
[name_f]Lyla[/name_f]- Classic, timeless and feminine/girlie but I also prefer the [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] spelling
[name_f]Zella[/name_f]- Not my style, not a fan

[name_u]Quinn[/name_u]- It’s a GP name for me since it is unisex. It is cute though.
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f]- Adorable! [name_u]Love[/name_u] it.
[name_u]Halle[/name_u]- [name_u]Love[/name_u] this as well.
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f]- I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] THIS NAME! I love the nns [name_f]Cara[/name_f], [name_f]Carrie[/name_f], and [name_f]Lina[/name_f].
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] called [name_f]Vivi[/name_f]- [name_u]Love[/name_u] it. So pretty and classy.
[name_u]Piper[/name_u]- Not a fan. [name_m]Just[/name_m]…not pleasing to my ears.
[name_f]Lyla[/name_f]- Pretty name, prefer [name_f]Lila[/name_f] or [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] spelling.
[name_f]Zella[/name_f]- Not a fan. It makes me think of the word zealous.

[name_u]Quinn[/name_u]- Absolutely love it, will be the name of our next child if we have a girl.
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f]- I hate [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] but mainly because I have a family member with this name who isn’t particularly nice so it is only personal experience that creates my dislike.
[name_u]Halle[/name_u]- I think it sounds nice but like others reminds me immediately of [name_u]Halle[/name_u] [name_u]Berry[/name_u].
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f]- NMS but don’t really have an opinion, I find it a bit meh.
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]- One of my best friends name is [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], goes by [name_f]Viv[/name_f], I think it is a nice name she loves it, once pointing out to me that each letter is represented twice.
[name_u]Piper[/name_u]- This one is not popular at all where I live, I know of a newborn called [name_u]Piper[/name_u] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] and found it quite strikingly unexpected. I like it.
[name_f]Lyla[/name_f]- I love this name (prefer [name_f]Lila[/name_f] or [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] though), I would definitely use this name if my son wasn’t [name_m]Lucas[/name_m], not wanting matching letters.
[name_f]Zella[/name_f]- First time I have heard this name but actually really like it. So I would give it a thumbs up.

[name_u]Quinn[/name_u] - I don’t hate it, but I find [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] a bit too modern/unisex for my personal taste. It’s just about the only Q- name I can stand though, so it’s doing well!

[name_f]Tessa[/name_f] - I really like [name_f]Tessa[/name_f]. It’s strong, spunky and sweet. My only objection to it is that it feels a little tame.

[name_u]Halle[/name_u] - Obviously I think first and foremost of Ms [name_u]Berry[/name_u], but it’s a very nice name. I prefer this spelling over [name_f]Hallie[/name_f] - it looks sleeker and more complete.

[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] - [name_f]Lovely[/name_f], classy name, with lots of great nicknames if that’s what you like (my favourite is [name_u]Caro[/name_u])

[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] called [name_f]Vivi[/name_f] - [name_f]Vivi[/name_f] is sweet but I’m really not a fan of these Frenchified feminine names ([name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f], [name_f]Juliette[/name_f], [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f]). I much prefer their more understated English counterparts: [name_u]Vivien[/name_u], [name_f]Isabel[/name_f], [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], [name_f]Annabel[/name_f]…

[name_u]Piper[/name_u] - It’s a sweet little name but, again, a bit too modern/trendy for my tastes. It’s also becoming increasingly popular. I much prefer the less-used [name_u]Fifer[/name_u] or more classic feeling [name_f]Pippa[/name_f].

[name_f]Lyla[/name_f] - It’s an OK name, but not particularly exciting to me. I meet too many little Lylas, [name_f]Lilas[/name_f], Lilahs, Lillys, [name_f]Lilias[/name_f], Leilas and Leilas for this to stand out.

[name_f]Zella[/name_f] - Gorgeous! Spunky yet pretty - I love it. This is my favourite from your list, followed by [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], then [name_f]Tessa[/name_f].

[name_u]Quinn[/name_u]- I love this name on girls… spunky and strong. This is my fave from your list!
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f]- Not my style, but not terrible
[name_u]Halle[/name_u]- Not my style
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f]- So pretty and classic!
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] called [name_f]Vivi[/name_f]- Gorgeous, and love the nickname. Matures well.
[name_u]Piper[/name_u]- I’ve never been a fan of this name
[name_f]Lyla[/name_f]- Sweet, but not very exciting
[name_f]Zella[/name_f]- [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] this! Unexpected, sweet, and feminine.

My top would be: [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], [name_f]Zella[/name_f], [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]

Pretty combos:
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u] [name_f]Lyla[/name_f]
[name_f]Zella[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]

Thank you all! We have decided that the middle name will be [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] to honour both of our mothers. I much liking…

[name_f]Zella[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]
[name_u]Piper[/name_u] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]
[name_f]Lyla[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]

[name_u]Quinn[/name_u]- Not my style, though it’s nice as unisex names go.
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f]- I really like it, but at the same time it makes me think of someone controlling and Type A. I have no idea why; I don’t actually know any Tessas.
[name_u]Halle[/name_u]- Pretty. Would definitely run into issues though ("[name_f]Hayley[/name_f]? [name_m]Hal[/name_m]?")
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f]- Nice, but bland. I prefer [name_f]Coraline[/name_f] and [name_f]Carolina[/name_f], but [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] is definitely one of the more energetic classics.
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] called [name_f]Vivi[/name_f]- I really like [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], though my favorite spelling is [name_f]Viviane[/name_f] since it’s a little less frilly and [name_f]Jolie[/name_f]-[name_m]Pitt[/name_m].
[name_u]Piper[/name_u]- Very, very NMS. I personally think the sound is ugly and I hate that it rhymes with “diaper.”
[name_f]Lyla[/name_f]- Pretty! Getting very popular, but I think double L names are just eminently likable no matter how popular they get. you might also like [name_f]Lyra[/name_f].
[name_f]Zella[/name_f]- I quite like it, but then I love two-syllable Z names in general.

The slurred together R’s of [name_u]Piper[/name_u] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] throw me off, but [name_f]Zella[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f], [name_f]Lyla[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f], and [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] are all great!

I like [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], [name_u]Piper[/name_u], and [name_f]Zella[/name_f]…

[name_u]Quinn[/name_u] - I like the name alright and I think it’s pretty cute
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f] - I like the name
[name_u]Halle[/name_u] - I like the name, but I’m not a huge fan of the spelling if you’re pronouncing it like “[name_f]Hallie[/name_f].”
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] - I absolutely love the name [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], but my opinion may be biased considering my girlfriend’s name is [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]. She has different nicknames that her family members call her - Care, Car, [name_f]Lina[/name_f] (pronounced “[name_f]Line[/name_f]-ah”), [name_f]Lena[/name_f] (pronounced “Leen-ah”), and [name_u]Rory[/name_u] (not sure how they got this nickname from [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] though).
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] called [name_f]Vivi[/name_f] - Not a huge fan of the name [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]
[name_u]Piper[/name_u] - Not a huge fan of this name
[name_f]Lyla[/name_f] - This is probably my favorite from your list. I also like the spelling [name_f]Lila[/name_f] for this name.
[name_f]Zella[/name_f] - Not a fan of the name

[name_u]Quinn[/name_u]- I like this a lot.
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f]- I adore [name_f]Tess[/name_f] more than [name_f]Tessa[/name_f], but nice name.
[name_u]Halle[/name_u]- not really a fan. [name_m]Just[/name_m] think [name_u]Halle[/name_u] [name_u]Berry[/name_u], and it feels slightly dated.
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f]- great name. classic yet spunky.
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] called [name_f]Vivi[/name_f]- love this, probably my favorite.
[name_u]Piper[/name_u]- not my favorite.
[name_f]Lyla[/name_f]- i love [name_f]Lila[/name_f] more, but love this name.
[name_f]Zella[/name_f]- cute. I’m surprised I don’t love it more, because I love Z names, but it feels like it’s missing something. I do like it though.

I love [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] and [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] and [name_u]Piper[/name_u] -they are all spunky and adorable. As far as which grows into the best grownup name, I think [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]!

[name_u]Quinn[/name_u]- I love [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], it’s spunky and cute.
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f]- [name_u]Love[/name_u].
[name_u]Halle[/name_u]- Not really my style, but it’s not a terrible name.
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f]- I think this is definitely a safe bet because it’s a common and established name. Totally tease free.
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] called [name_f]Vivi[/name_f]- Not my style, feels a bit dated
[name_u]Piper[/name_u]- [name_u]Love[/name_u].
[name_f]Lyla[/name_f]- Not really sure how to pronounce this
[name_f]Zella[/name_f]- Cute.

[name_m]Hi[/name_m]! You pronounce [name_f]Lyla[/name_f] like Lie-Luh

We have very, very similar taste in names as shown by my signature. However, I’ll give you my thoughts anyway.

[name_u]Quinn[/name_u] - I really love [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]. One of the true unisex names that I enjoy (besides [name_u]Riley[/name_u]). It tends to lean more girl for me, but I love how spunky it is.

[name_f]Tessa[/name_f] - Pretty and sweet. I think [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] warrants a gorgeous, unusual middle name to make her a bit more interesting, but I like her nonetheless! I think dropping the a makes a stunning choice. [name_f]Tess[/name_f] is ultimate sophistication.

[name_u]Halle[/name_u] - Can’t believe I haven’t thought of this before. It’s going on my list now! Haha. So obviously, I really love it.

[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] - [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] is very, very pretty, but doesn’t excite me. If I met a [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], I wouldn’t roll my eyes at its constant 'over’use, but I wouldn’t be surprised either. It’s just…expected. Can’t go wrong with [name_f]Caroline[/name_f].

[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] called [name_f]Vivi[/name_f] - [name_u]Love[/name_u]. Simple as that. I tend to prefer simpler spellings…except for when it comes to [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]. I love how feminine it looks.

[name_u]Piper[/name_u] - My #1 name. If I had a daughter today, this would be her name.

[name_f]Lyla[/name_f] - This is okay. The sound is nice, but something bugs me about the spelling. I don’t usually love Y’s in names, so maybe it’s that? Not sure. Would much prefer the spelling [name_f]Lila[/name_f].

[name_f]Zella[/name_f] - And here is where we differ. I completely dislike this name. It has zero appeal to me (which is somewhat surprising since I love [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] and [name_f]Zara[/name_f]). Unfortunately, it just sounds like a trendy variation of [name_f]Bella[/name_f].

[name_u]Quinn[/name_u] - A very sweet name, I really like it for a middle name.
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f] - I have no opinion on this name, it’s just ‘eh’ to me. Nothing wrong with it though, it is sweet.
[name_u]Halle[/name_u] - All I think of is [name_u]Halle[/name_u] [name_u]Berry[/name_u], I wouldn’t call it a ‘one person name’ though. More than usable.
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] - Never liked this name, I find it stuffy.
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] - [name_u]Love[/name_u] this name and I love the nickname [name_f]Vivi[/name_f].
[name_u]Piper[/name_u] - Too OITNB for me, maybe someday the connection will die down.
[name_f]Lyla[/name_f] - A big love of mine because of its tie to Oasis, I adore it.
[name_f]Zella[/name_f] - Not a fan, sorry. I think Z names are so cool but this isn’t one of my favourites.

My three favourites are [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Lyla[/name_f]. The names I dislike the most are [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_f]Zella[/name_f].

I’m liking [name_u]Piper[/name_u] the most followed by [name_f]Zoe[/name_f]. [name_m]Just[/name_m] realized I didn’t put [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] up there! Omg!!

[name_f]Quinn[/name_f] - sounds smart
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f] - I have a friend named [name_f]Tessa[/name_f]. She’s really nice and energetic, so the name has the same feel as her for me.
[name_f]Halle[/name_f] - cute, but I prefer the spelling [name_f]Hallie[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] - so sweet and elegant; it’s a lovely name
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] - this spelling, compared to [name_u]Vivian[/name_u], feels regal, sophisticated
[name_f]Piper[/name_f] - this used to be one of my favorite names and it still is adorable and bouncy
[name_f]Lyla[/name_f] - this is one of my new infatuations; it’s pretty, simple, and feels nice when you say it
[name_f]Zella[/name_f] - not my cup of tea, but it’s unique in the good way
