[name]Allegra[/name] was chosen as a first name if our babe is a ‘she.’ By chosen… I mean God put this name on my heart YEARS ago. As much as I have tried to explore other options… we just keep coming back to [name]Allegra[/name]. With that being said… Middle names…
We always had [name]Lane[/name] with [name]Allegra[/name]. [name]Allegra[/name] [name]Lane[/name]. Which we still like… but we would like to explore some other options.
{Let me add that [name]Allegra[/name] means joyful… and I’m definitely into a name with meaning… so I will post the name with my interpretation of the meaning for each name set to the side.}
[name]Allegra[/name] [name]Lane[/name] {a girl who joyfully takes the road less traveled…}
[name]Allegra[/name] [name]Ann[/name] {a girl full of joy and grace- [name]Ann[/name] is also my middle name}
[name]Allegra[/name] [name]Kate[/name] {a girl full of pure joy}
[name]Allegra[/name] [name]Claire[/name] {a girl of clarity and joy}
I do not get “a girl who joyfully takes the road less traveled” from [name]Allegra[/name] [name]Lane[/name]. It just sounds like a street name.
[name]Allegra[/name] [name]Ann[/name] really is lovely. [name]Allegra[/name] [name]Kate[/name] and [name]Allegra[/name] [name]Claire[/name] are nice as well, but [name]Kate[/name] and [name]Claire[/name] are starting to sound a little worn out in the middle spot…
[name]Allegra[/name] [name]Grace[/name] could also work as [name]Ann[/name] means grace.
[name]Allegra[/name] [name]Zoe[/name] (joyful life)
[name]Allegra[/name] [name]Tate[/name] (joyful and cheerful)
I like your suggestions of:
[name]Allegra[/name] [name]Kate[/name]
[name]Allegra[/name] [name]Claire[/name]
[name]Allegra[/name] [name]Ann[/name] has alot of alliteration to me.
[name]Allegra[/name] [name]Lane[/name] I prefer the other meanings
I think [name]Allegra[/name] is such a lovely name- it’s so feminine and fresh and sweet, plus I love [name]Alli[/name] as a nickname. I think it sounds the best with [name]Kate[/name] as a middle name and I love the combined meaning of “pure joy.” But I also like that [name]Ann[/name] has personal significance, and it still has a beautiful meaning. But if I had to pick purely on the names’ flow, I’d say [name]Allegra[/name] [name]Kate[/name].
[name]Allegra[/name] [name]Lane[/name] is nice. [name]Lane[/name] is a middle name, and rarely will it ever come into verbal play. It’s fine if it sounds like a street name.
I like it, and [name]Allegra[/name] [name]Kate[/name].
[name]One[/name] of our tv personalities [name]Jessica[/name] [name]Rowe[/name] had a daughter and named her [name]Allegra[/name] [name]Penelope[/name] and think that this combo is great! Have you thought about using a longer middle name I think it would be a good idea.
Instead of [name]Allegra[/name] [name]Claire[/name], what about [name]Allegra[/name] [name]Clarity[/name]?
And [name]Allegra[/name] [name]Lane[/name] does sound a little like a street name. [name]Allegra[/name] [name]Lena[/name] sounds better, like a joyful girl who is light and carefree.
Also [name]Allegra[/name] [name]Ruby[/name], [name]Allegra[/name] [name]Blythe[/name] and [name]Allegra[/name] [name]Vivian[/name]/[name]Viviette[/name].
I love [name]Allegra[/name]!!! Such an amazingly pretty name!!!
I would advise against the previous posters suggestion of [name]Allegra[/name] [name]Clarity[/name], [name]Clarity[/name] being too close to Claritin, which just drives the allergy medicine names home!!!
Thank you everyone for your input!! We hear the street name… LOL. Not a big issue for us though. [name]Lane[/name] in any middle position would have the same effect. I need to get my hubby to sit down and make a decision. [name]Happy[/name] Naming!!
