Alliteration for boys name -HELP! does it sound ok?

[name]Hi[/name],

DH and i are expecting baby number 1 anytime now and are having a really hard time agreeing on a boy name, girl name is sorted. We both tend to like one syllable names for boys and have both [name]Jack[/name] and [name]Sam[/name] on our list, we like the idea of something that isnt as common but still known enough people wont be confused with spelling / pronounciation etc. What do you think of alliteration with naming baby, i like [name]Wade[/name] but our last name is [name]Wylie[/name], [name]Wade[/name] [name]Wylie[/name]? does this flow nicely in your opinion? We also like [name]Flynn[/name] and were thinking [name]Alexander[/name] or [name]Thomas[/name] for a middle name for either of these.

Thanks a lot appreciate you thoughts / or other suggestions!!

I generally like alliterative consonants (usually not vowels), but I’m not sure how I feel about Wade Wylie. It feels a bit too abrupt to me. I think a longer first name, William Wylie, would flow better. Of your middle name considerations, I like Wade Alexander Wylie best.

Personally, based on the names you’ve mentioned, I like Flynn Thomas Wylie, Flynn Alexander Wylie, Samuel Thomas Wylie, nn Sam, or Thomas Alexander Wylie.

Are there any other names on your lists to work with?

I love alliteration. Makes a person more memorable, imo. When I meet someone, if their name is an alliterative name, I’ll definitely remember them the next time that I see them. Might be a good thing for him at school or in the working world. I like [name]Wade[/name] [name]Wiley[/name].

While I totally agree that an alliterative name is more memorable and can sound quite distinguished, I’m not sure I love [name]Wade[/name] with your last name. I have 3 sons with 1-syllable names ([name]Paul[/name], [name]Mark[/name], and [name]James[/name]) so I love one-syllable names too. [name]Wade[/name] makes me think of [name]Dean[/name]. There’s also [name]Jude[/name], [name]Blake[/name], and [name]Ross[/name].
