Alliteration thoughts?

Just over half way with #4 so still a while to go, nothing really sticking and probably change my mind 400x by then. But tonight I am liking the name Valerie, while her dad is feeling more Violet. I like alliteration in some cases, but feel like Valerie Violet might be a bit too comic book character. Although my first daughter is Matilda Marigold which has a similar feel lol, I just couldn’t choose between the two names so she got both! What’s everyone’s thoughts on alliteration names

I have 2 middle names so all 3 of my given names start with A! I think they all flow so well so I am keen on alliteration

I think it depends on the combo!
Valerie Violet doesn’t really flow that well to me, but Violet Valerie sounds fine. I generally prefer names not to be alliterative but I think it can work well in some cases - I like your Matilda Marigold!

I really like alliteration, I think it can be a nice touch in some cases and make the names flow better. I like [name_f]Valerie[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] or [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Valerie[/name_f]

Oh I absolutely love [name_f]Valerie[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] :cherry_blossom:

[name_f]Valerie[/name_f] is such a lovely vintage name that deserves more recognition so pretty such a gorgeous name! I also love [name_f]Violet[/name_f] in the middle name slot with [name_f]Valerie[/name_f] she’s fun floral choice marrying up wonderfully with her sister’s middle name [name_f]Marigold[/name_f]. I love that both your kiddos will have alliterative names!

[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] & [name_f]Valerie[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] are beautiful

I like most alliteration and find that it usually makes for a memorable name, in a good way. While [name_f]Valerie[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] maybe isn’t perfection mainly because they share both V and L sounds, it is more important to choose the names you love, not based on flow. Especially because, after the birth announcement, in real life we seldom say our first and middle names together so if [name_f]Valerie[/name_f] and your last name are great together I think you have a winner.

I think Valerie Violet is lovely! I really like alliterative names!

[name_f]Valerie[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] or [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Valerie[/name_f] totally work! Comic book character territory would be more like a first name and last name alliteration to me. Like [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_m]Vander[/name_m] as opposed to [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Valerie[/name_f] [name_m]Jones[/name_m]. Violent [name_m]Vander[/name_m] is a big name (her comic book), but [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_m]Jones[/name_m] is pretty tame! :relaxed:

I am a fan of alliteration. Two combos in my top names for both genders are alliterative and my own first and middle are, as well.

[name_f]Valerie[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] is sweet and charming! Also gives you nn [name_f]Vivi[/name_f]!

I love alliteration names! Her middle name won’t be used too often anyway

I like [name_f]Valerie[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f], and I think it sounds nice together. You can use the nickname VV or [name_f]Vivi[/name_f] too

[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] and [name_f]Valerie[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] might just be the cutest sibset I’ve heard.

Wow [name_f]Valerie[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] is super gorgeous, I would never have thought of that combo! I love alliteration. Also love your other daughters name and I think [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] and [name_f]Valerie[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] are amazing sibling names.
