I have been thinking about names for a baby girl for years, and I keep coming back to the name [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]. Our last name is pronounced like the boys name “[name_u]Michael[/name_u]” with an “S” at the end. Thoughts? It does not rhyme at all and the syllables are different (3 for [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], 2 for last name), but the letters and number of letters in each name are similar. Thanks in advance!
I knew a girl growing up whose name was similar to [name_f]Bethany[/name_f] [name_f]Erica[/name_f] [name_u]Bentley[/name_u]: both start with a B and end with a Y. It was cute, really rolls off the tongue, but the middle name separates it so it isn’t kitschy. Plus, everyone called her [name_f]Bee[/name_f] or [name_f]Beebee[/name_f], which is a pretty cute nickname–so is M&M! She’ll be your little M&M It’s adorable.
(PS: I tend to not find problems in names, the only one I was totally against was [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_u]Green[/name_u], daughter of [name_m]John[/name_m] [name_u]Green[/name_u]. [name_f]Alice[/name_f] rhymes with [name_f]Grace[/name_f], and [name_f]Grace[/name_f] alliterates with [name_u]Green[/name_u]. But it grew on me a whole lot over the ages.)
