Alliteration is when names/ words in succession begin with the same sound, not end. I don’t think having names begin nor end in the same letter is a bad thing.
I actually really like alliteration, repetition of sound (like one of my favourite combos is [name]Eulalia[/name] [name]Leire[/name]), and especially when first and middle names end in -a for girls (I didn’t used to like this, but then I moved to Spain and it’s really common for peoples’ first and second names to end in the same sound. It grew on me).
There is a word to describe words that have the same endings, but it seems to have escaped me. However, it basically means alliteration in either the middle or the ending of the word. Therefore, I believe that you are right in using that alliteration
Anywho, I love names that kind of rhyme. I plan on using [name]Myra[/name] [name]Aliana[/name] one day/
In some names I don’t mind, in others it bugs me - it depends on how different the rest of the names are. Like - [name]Isadora[/name] [name]Liana[/name] isn’t quite as much as [name]Valentina[/name] [name]Maria[/name] - [name]Valentina[/name] and [name]Maria[/name] both have strong ee sounds and both end in A, so it feels like a lot. [name]Isadora[/name] and [name]Liana[/name] don’t really share anything other than the A ending.
I think it completely depends on what the names are. Some work, some I find to be over the top or the flow to be off.
I think it sounds perfectly fine! I didn’t happen to use that formula when naming my son but I wouldn’t let it stop me from using 2 names that I like for any future children. =]
It really depends on the situation. Your examples all sound very nice. Something like [name]Iris[/name] [name]Eunice[/name] or [name]Alex[/name] [name]Max[/name] would sound dreadful. I think it’s all about finding that perfect combination!
Not always a bad thing. Like tintri said it depends on the situation. Your examples all sound lovely to me as well. I really like [name]Valentina[/name] [name]Maria[/name].
I agree that all your examples sound lovely! I love something like [name]Anna[/name] [name]Sophia[/name] or [name]Lila[/name] [name]Julietta[/name] or [name]Cara[/name] [name]Felicia[/name], etc. I think it just depends on flow. [name]Ella[/name] [name]Sofia[/name] sounds fine, but [name]Sophia[/name] [name]Ella[/name] doesn’t sound as good. I think it’s about rhythm. But I do love the sound of names that repeat the “A” endings! I’m considering [name]Eleni[/name] [name]Sofia[/name] [name]Giovanna[/name] right now.
I think it could definitely work in some cases. My question is for the last name - one of my all-time favorite girls names has the same letter as my last name, and I don’t want it to sound weird hahaha.
