What would you think if you ran into a little girl named [name]Almond[/name]?
For some reason I think of the movie ‘Where the Heart Is’ where the one character had named her five children after her pregnancy cravings. Brownie, Praline, [name]Baby[/name] [name]Ruth[/name], etc… I would think of something like that.
Maybe as a middle name (probably not imho), but as a first name I think [name]Amandine[/name] is much more appropriate. I would definitely not like it if my name was [name]Almond[/name].
I think [name]Almond[/name] is appropriate as [name]Melody[/name], [name]June[/name], [name]Winter[/name], [name]Autumn[/name], [name]Destiny[/name], [name]North[/name], [name]Daisy[/name]…

I find [name]Almond[/name] OK, but prefer [name]Almondine[/name] and [name]Amandine[/name].
That her parents were nuts
Honestly, gut reaction- I would think it was weird. Like her parents found [name]Olive[/name] “just too popular now” and went for [name]Almond[/name] instead to be unique.
I think [name]Almond[/name] would make a great middle name or nickname. But as a first name it sounds too cutesy for me.
But if you really want it as a first and you’re not in a french-speaking area [name]Amandine[/name] is a great suggestion, and would be adorable.
I sort of laughed in my head. Sorry.
I’d probably gag because that’s what I do when someone says the word in front of me. I hate almonds.
