My husband would like to name our son due in a couple of months [name_u]Ariel[/name_u], after his brother, but I am still not sure if I think it is useable as a first name and we may end up using it as a middle name.
My question is if we decide not to go with [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] as his first name, then what? Our only real criteria are that It “sounds Jewish”, its not popular but its not unheard of and that it goes with big sister’s name [name_f]Noa[/name_f]. It would also be a plus if it went well with my eldest’s name [name_f]Eilidh[/name_f].
[name_m]Uriel[/name_m]/[name_m]Uri[/name_m], [name_m]Adriel[/name_m], [name_f]Abriel[/name_f], [name_f]Ahriel[/name_f] (a variant of [name_u]Ariel[/name_u]), Azariel/[name_m]Azriel[/name_m] (maybe not the best meaning), [name_m]Daniel[/name_m], [name_m]Hadriel[/name_m], [name_u]Nuriel[/name_u], Raf’ael
mamabeetothree We considered [name_u]Ari[/name_u], but we think it sounds too much like [name_f]Eilidh[/name_f].
jalila13 I really like [name_m]Adriel[/name_m], [name_m]Azriel[/name_m] and [name_u]Nuriel[/name_u].
