Alternatives for Ayla

I love [name]Ayla[/name] because it is not too common, yet not too strange or out there. I also like that it is related to nature (oak tree), is straightforward and can be taken seriously. Someone I know just used this name and now I’m looking for an alternative…any suggestions?

Aydra ?

[name]Ayla[/name] as in [name]Isla[/name]?

I prefer the I spelling.

[name]Aisha[/name], lovely name

It’s pronounced differently than [name]Isla[/name]…I like [name]Lena[/name] thanks for the input

[name]Layla[/name] (very popular, though)
[name]Laurel[/name] (tree name)
[name]Willa[/name] (makes me think of willow trees)

Good luck!

[name]Aileen[/name] is a popular name in [name]Scotland[/name] with a similar sound.

Emphasis on the first syllable so sort of like AY-leen as opposed to ay-LEEN as in the way north americans would say [name]Eileen[/name] (eye-LEEN).

This is the first name of the actress who as a child played [name]Annie[/name] in the 1982 movie version of ‘[name]Annie[/name]’ - [name]Aileen[/name] [name]Quinn[/name] I think it is.
