So, I adore the name [name_f]Merida[/name_f]! To death. But I am starting to rethink [name_f]Merida[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u], which is the combo I loved. Thing is, I am at a loss for an alternative middle…
Here’s what I want to know: 1) Honest opinions on my original combo: [name_f]Merida[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u]. 2) Based on the style of my signature, what alternative middle would you suggest?
Other than floral names, and [name_u]Wren[/name_u], I don’t prefer nature names (like [name_u]River[/name_u], [name_m]Fox[/name_m], etc.). I love Italian names and Celtic names (but that’s not a must, by any means). I do prefer definite feminine names, not unisex.
I like [name_f]Merida[/name_f] [name_f]Wren[/name_f]. It’s pretty, flows nice, and is a name I’m sure any girl could live with. However, if you want alternatives, I would suggest: [name_f]Charleene[/name_f], [name_f]Louise[/name_f], or [name_f]Sage[/name_f]. But I still prefer [name_u]Wren[/name_u].
superllama,
Thank you for the reply and suggestions. I like [name_f]Louise[/name_f] and [name_u]Sage[/name_u] a lot, though I prefer the spelling [name_u]Saige[/name_u] to make it more feminine. It’s also interesting and good to hear your positive comments on my original [name_u]Wren[/name_u]. I am still not sure yet:)
[name_f]Merida[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] is absolutely gorgeous!! Most of the Italian girl names end with -a which I know a lot of people don’t like but [name_f]Violetta[/name_f] might work if that doesn’t bother you. [name_f]Elodie[/name_f], [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], or [name_u]Teagan[/name_u] maybe? Nothing strikes me like [name_f]Merida[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u]… I wish I came up with it.
melancholymusic,
Thanks so much! The praising comments so far of my original combo are starting to make me love it again.
I had actually considered [name_f]Merida[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f]. I think it has a nice flow. [name_f]Merida[/name_f] [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] is really cute, too! Maybe I will do a poll and see which combo wins, and then stick with that one in my signature.
darceydaisy,
I do like a lot of Welsh names actually. I didn’t think many of them would flow well with [name_f]Merida[/name_f], though. My favorites are [name_f]Arwen[/name_f], [name_f]Eowyn[/name_f], [name_f]Arianwen[/name_f], and [name_f]Elowen[/name_f]. But I like your suggest of [name_f]Bronwen[/name_f]! I hadn’t considered that one.
