Alternatives in the style of Evelyn...HELP!

The only name my husband and I can agree on is [name]Evelyn[/name], which fits our naming style perfectly (older, until recently less-used names…not too long). However, I’m not set on it, and I worry that it is climbing the popularity charts.
We have a longer last name in the style of [name]Romano[/name], but we’re staying away from Italian-sounding names since we have a great mix of European backgrounds in our families. So, any ideas??

[name]Hi[/name]! I love your last name! [name]Vivian[/name] was the first name to come to mind…

Good luck!

[name]Jill[/name]'s idea of [name]Vivian[/name] is perfection!

More ideas:

[name]Araminta[/name] nn [name]Minnie[/name]
[name]Caroline[/name] nn [name]Callie[/name]
[name]Catherine[/name] - the “C” makes it more old-fashioned.
[name]Louisa[/name] nn [name]Lulu[/name]

Funny you said [name]Vivian[/name]-- that has been on my short list for as long as [name]Evelyn[/name]! My Husband doesn’t hate it… he just likes [name]Evelyn[/name] more. Also, my last name is very similar to [name]Romano[/name] (starts with R, ends in O and Italian) but I don’t want everyone to think I’d post my real last name on here!!

I love [name]Vivian[/name]! [name]Adele[/name] also came to mind straight away. More suggestions…

I’m loving [name]Vivian[/name] ever more now…husband thinks it sounds too mature for a baby but he would like it when she was older…at least he’s considering!
I am really drawn to the name [name]ROSALIND[/name] from the last list! Is the D silent? If not, I think [name]ROSALYN[/name] would pretty. Its another name from the early 1900s and not climbing the charts like [name]Evelyn[/name]. I guess I like the [name]LYN[/name] names and names ending in N. Any thoughts on the [name]Vivian[/name] V. [name]Roslyn[/name] names??
