I love your choice of [name]Mary[/name]-[name]Francis[/name]!
[name]Mary[/name] is a lovely name on its own, and not too popular now, but I do really like all the double barreled [name]Mary[/name] names. My family used to have a [name]Mary[/name] [name]Liz[/name], which I would love to see on a little girl today! I also like [name]Mary[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name], [name]Mary[/name] [name]Margaret[/name], and [name]Mary[/name] [name]Frances[/name].

I think your perception of [name]Mary[/name] being popular is how a lot of people view [name]Sally[/name] - it’s often used as a generic example of a name, but then when you really think about it you realize you’ve never really known more than two or so people with the name, if that. (At least in the U.S.) If you don’t want [name]Mary[/name], though, I think [name]Meredith[/name] would be a great alternative, or [name]Marielle[/name]. Or if you want to get a bit more elaborate there’s [name]Mariana[/name].
