My boyfriend loves the name [name]Alucard[/name] and though I like it I don’t really know how I feel about it for our son. What do you think? Should I try to persuade him towards another name? [name]Do[/name] you think it would better as a middle name and if so what names would you pair it with?
I would definitely try to persuade him in a different direction…
I had never heard it before, so I looked it up on Behind the Name. It’s not in the regular database, but a user submitted it. It’s a made-up name that has been used in some films, a manga, and a video game series. It’s Dracula spelled backwards.
It’s not even worthy of middle name consideration, IMHO.
I would be wary of a made up name that spells Dracula backwards!
It doesn’t sound nice. Any way I try to pronounce it, I don’t like it. Especially with the meaning/origin thatkathryngirl mentioned. Middle name, if he’s so determined.
backward names annoy me. I like that it has three syllables and starts with A, but it doesn’t really work. [name]How[/name] about Allerton, [name]Luke[/name], [name]Carson[/name], [name]Drake[/name], [name]Adrien[/name] or something along those lines?
Backward names annoy me too and I appreciate your name suggestions. Thank you.
Your BF must like Castlevania the game. My hubby likes the game too and has mentioned that name to me. I put my foot down on that one though. It’s a cool name for a video game character only.
