We have decided to name our son [name_m]Maddox[/name_m]. Our last name is kauffman. We have been trying in vain to come up with a middle name for weeks now my husbands top choices are [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] or [name_u]Luca[/name_u]. I don’t think this is a great idea because then the babies Initials would be MLK. I like the way [name_m]Maddox[/name_m] [name_u]Luca[/name_u] sounds but Initials bug me. What do others think?

I don’t see the problem, most people don’t look at initials. Plus, it’s not like he shares initals with a terrible person.
[name_m]Maddox[/name_m] [name_u]Luca[/name_u] is a great name and I think if you love it, use it.
I think it would be great to share initials with an inspiring and intelligent person. 
I don’t think it’d be a bad thing at all. He might even love that he shares this secret connection with a great hero.
I think the only time initials are iffy is when they spell something unfortunate, otherwise I don’t think it matters. MLK is a great reference and middle names aren’t usually widely known anyway.
I’m not sure what you’re concerned about, MLK is not a bad association. Most people wouldn’t put two and two together anyways.

MLK was a positive political figure thus sharing initials with him isn’t a bad thing. It is just a thing that some people may put together.
