Am I right to think Agnes feels mismatched?

My son is [name_m]George[/name_m] and my daughter’s name is now very much [name_f]Angelina[/name_f] (some of you might be aware that a while back we were pondering over changing her name because of regret, we’re already in the legal process of doing so). I’m due in [name_f]October[/name_f] and am in need of some desperate help with names. My husband and I can’t seem to agree on anything and I am really wary and afraid of going through the grueling process of name regret again.

So far the name we both love is [name_f]Agnes[/name_f], but we feel like it matches [name_m]George[/name_m] a lot more than [name_f]Angelina[/name_f]. Thoughts?

I think it could definitely work lovely in a Sibset. I wouldn’t have any doubt about that! What I would worry about is [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] being too close to [name_f]Angelina[/name_f]. I think they’re just different enough to get away with, but it feels like it’s teetering on the line between too similar and different enough. [name_m]Just[/name_m] worth noting. Congratulations and good luck! Wishing you the best!

I think it is just fine. [name_m]George[/name_m] and [name_f]Angelina[/name_f] are very different styles. [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] helps tie them together.

I agree that they work style-wise, but that [name_f]Angelina[/name_f] and [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] are a wee bit similar! (The Ang/Agn)

I do think they are mismatched. Personally I would use another ornately feminine name like [name_f]Angelina[/name_f]. From your signature I think that [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] are much better matches.

I think it’s fine. I’m not one to worry about sibling names Matching perfectly. I think it’s more important you use a name you love. All the best.

I agree that [name_f]Angelina[/name_f] and [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] could be too similar… I think [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f], [name_f]Theodora[/name_f], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], or [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] would nicely complete your sibset without being so similar.
