Okay, I’ve been kicking this name around a lot and am considering adding it to my list. I think it’s pretty, and the flowers are gorgeous. Thoughts on the name? Too out there? What might make a good brother or sister for someone with this name? I do like [name]Evangeline[/name] as a possible sister, but I am coming up blank otherwise.
I like it, particularly for the symbolism behind it and meaning.
If I were using it as a first name for a child, I’d probably name her siblings other botanical or mythological names.
I actually just met someone with this name recently. It was the first time I had ever heard of it. She is in her early thirties and goes [name]Lilly[/name] sometimes as a nickname. I like it! [name]Amaryllis[/name] is different but not unheard of as a word, just creative enough without being crazy.
I think Amaryllis is gorgeous. It’s on my longer favorites list. It’s definitely out there, but not unusable. Evangeline is okay, but it sounds a little too different stylistically to be something I’d use personally.

I love the name [name]Amaryllis[/name] and [name]Evangeline[/name] [name]Snow[/name] would go perfect with it. [name]Both[/name] sound whimsy but regal if that makes sense. Some other sisters to [name]Amaryllis[/name] could be:
[name]Georgiana[/name]
[name]Persephone[/name]
[name]Delphine[/name]
[name]Margot[/name]
[name]Calais[/name]
[name]Olivine[/name]
As for a brother I think something edgy and masculine would be nice. [name]Jonah[/name] and [name]Amaryllis[/name] sound great together by the way.

[name]Fletcher[/name]
[name]Sullivan[/name]

[name]Isaiah[/name]

[name]Jethro[/name]
I hope that makes sense, I do know what I think goes others don’t.
I know an [name]Amaryllis[/name], and she’s such a beautiful person that I only have positive feelings for this name. For some reason, even though it is kind of an out there name (at least in my opinion), it seems totally normal and perfect on her. I think I would hesitate to use it for my daughter because I feel like it’s a lot to live up to, though.
My cousin has a daughter named [name]Amaryllis[/name]. She’s three, and her older sister is [name]Annalise[/name].
We are Puerto Rican though, and my cousin pronounces it diffetently. Something like [name]Ah[/name]-mar-ee- lease.
[name]Amaryllis[/name] was a shepherdess! [name]Love[/name] this name. And the flower is gorgeous too. I agree with scarlettrobin, something botanical or myth/literary-related would be nice.
