what do you think?
[name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] is fantastic! One of my very favorites. It means “to sparkle” (or other sources say it means “refreshing stream” and comes with a wide variety of lovely nicknames including, but not limited to, [name_f]Lilly[/name_f], [name_f]Lilla[/name_f], [name_f]Millie[/name_f], [name_f]Ally[/name_f], [name_f]Amy[/name_f], [name_f]Mary[/name_f], Lissy, and [name_u]Rylie[/name_u]. It’s also the name of a beautiful flower, and character from “The [name_f]Music[/name_f] [name_m]Man[/name_m]”. It is also youthful, and feminine, but isn’t too frilly and still has the potential to age well. A five year old with pigtails named [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f]? Of course! An attorney named [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f]? Sure! It’s versatile and unique, the perfect combination for any name.
Totally love it!
[name_f]My[/name_f] first thought is that sweet little girl in The [name_f]Music[/name_f] [name_m]Man[/name_m] by this name. I think it’s a great name, cute and just the right amount of vintage charm.
Not something I’d use, but still lovely. I prefer it in the middle.
I think it’s a great name but I still think of it as a bit ‘old-ladyish’. I’m sure if I saw it on a child that would soon change.
It would need a nickname, in my opinion, as it’s a bit too long to use all the time.
[name_u]Love[/name_u], love, love!
It’s on my list of names I love, but don’t think I’d ever be brave enough to use.
One of my favorite flower names! It is pretty, has a plethora of possible nicknames, and familiar but uncommon.
