Sometimes when I try to match names with others, I’m surprised by how many names on my list seem like they cannot be used together. While I definitely have a preferred naming style for groups, I have a pretty wide range of styles across my list of individual name crushes.
What are some names that you love that seem like they have totally different styles?
Here are mine for girls:
[name_f]Marietta[/name_f] — prim and proper
[name_u]Raven[/name_u] — strong and mysterious
[name_u]Sage[/name_u] — soft and natural
[name_f]Anja[/name_f] — laid back and multinational
[name_f]Willodean[/name_f] — southern belle
[name_f]Yvaine[/name_f] — fantasy
[name_u]Raven[/name_u] and [name_u]Sage[/name_u] feel like the same style to me. So do [name_f]Marietta[/name_f] and [name_f]Willodean[/name_f].
I agree with most of your name descriptions, though [name_f]Marietta[/name_f] has a completely different vibe to me! [name_u]Sunny[/name_u], fun, laid-back and sweet.
My favorite names are usually classic but uncommon or they have a Southern [name_f]Belle[/name_f] feel. There are, however, a few exceptions such as:
Oleander, [name_m]Evander[/name_m], [name_m]Georges[/name_m], [name_m]Icarus[/name_m], [name_m]Castor[/name_m], Fenris and [name_m]Franz[/name_m] for boys
Edelweiss, Elsinore, [name_f]Heidi[/name_f], [name_f]Frida[/name_f], [name_f]Ondine[/name_f], Christophine and [name_f]Anselma[/name_f] for girls
I usually end up ignoring those names in order to make my combos work, which is a shame because I love some of them so much!
