Ambreen?

Hello all,

I have recently stumbled across the name Ambreen and I think it’s lovely but wondered what you all thought of it?

its unique and I think it sounds soft and delicate as a girls name. The meaning is [name_u]Sky[/name_u] for those who care about the meaning like I do when considering a name.

Ambreen is quite an unusual name, I had never heard of it! I think it is very girly and delicate and I really like it.

I like the sound, and I definitely get the soft and delicate feeling.
However, it sounds a bit dated. It reminds me of [name_f]Amber[/name_f] and all the once popular girl names ending in -een like [name_f]Maureen[/name_f] and [name_f]Doreen[/name_f]. I definitely find it prettier than those names though.

Ambreen is nice! I like the meaning and the soft gentle sounds

I quite like it actually, at first I thought it was going to be a mash up honor name for like mom [name_f]Amber[/name_f] and [name_f]MIL[/name_f] [name_f]Arlene[/name_f] and even so I think i would still like the sound of it. Very soft, light and girly like a pastel blue, and I love the meaning. I think there is the potential of it being misheard or people assume it’s made up but I still think its very usable and i like it.

It looks a bit too made up for me, at least here in [name_u]America[/name_u].

I am not a fan. I’ve never heard of it, and it sounds kind of made up. Like it almost sounds like the name of a medication, with kind of a manufactured vibe. What is its country of origin? I am curious where the meaning comes from.

I went to school with an Ambreen and then I later taught an Ambreen (she was a sweetie). Both were [name_f]Indian[/name_f]-American, so I would guess it’s a name not often heard outside of that culture.

I think it’s pretty!

Pretty name. Not necessarily my style, but I think it’s really is nice.

Ambreen is lovely, if you like it, use it. Especially if it’s related to your heritage or culture.

I’m not a fan, sorry. Ambreen sounds like the name of a product or company to me. Based on the other comments, it sounds like it might work in another language, but I don’t thin it really does in English.

At first it felt a little made up, but few seconds later I realized that it is a very pretty name and usable. Meaning is also very nice.
