[name]Amelia[/name]! Its so spunky (:
I voted [name]Amelia[/name] but it really depends. I like [name]Mia[/name] as a NN for [name]Amelia[/name]. I love [name]Millie[/name] for [name]Amelie[/name]. It can depend on the MN too. Generally though I do prefer [name]Amelia[/name].
[name]Amelia[/name]. I think that most people wouldn’t use the proper French pronunciation of [name]Amelie[/name], and pronounce it [name]Emily[/name]. Plus, if you chose [name]Amelia[/name], you can still use [name]Amelie[/name] as a nn, but it would be a bit odd if you tried the reverse.
I prefer [name]Amelie[/name]. It seems more classy and timeless to me. Its also my daughters name which is why I love it even more.
This is exactly what I was going to say.
I think if you say the name out loud [name]Amelia[/name] always sounds like [name]Amelia[/name] but [name]Amelie[/name] sounds close to [name]Emily[/name]. Which leads me to wonder if when she introduces herself if she will have to repeat it? Also, non name lovers may remember her name as [name]Emily[/name]. [name]Both[/name] frustrating for her.
From [name]Emilia[/name] (yes… nobody could say my name right or spell it right and I was often called [name]Emily[/name] too!)
